Padres would be a great fit if we wanted to do a deal that is both quality and quantity and throw in guys like Conley/Steck/straily.

Not prospects, im talking about more of the names we've heard like Margot, Enciarte, Sanchez and a few others. Not prospects who are about to come up and are ML ready that way.

margot doesnt impress me as part of a trade at all. feels like he's never going to hit enough

Players like Inciarte and Barnhart make sense because they are signed to such reasonable long-term contracts and they buy time for your prospects to develop. I agree that I'm not a huge fan of Margot.

Inciarte is the guy id like out of that group of names by far the most. He is someone i can understand being insistent on. Barnhart isnt good enough for that contract to be all that important to me. I wouldnt mind him as a stop gap but he's not a guy id ever be really insisting on in a deal.

If the CIN offer is near accurate and TB isn't bidding, we have a winner. On the other hand, if a CIN trade is built around India and Barnhart as the top names, that's a non-worker.

Same here on SD but they actually have some talented young MIF beside Urias. Miami would get 1 of them likely and Mejia. Remember its about getting TALENT-why get just Urias when u can get Mejia and Edwards? Ruiz? Arias? With that being said I could go for Urias/Morejon or Meija/Morejon from them

It shouldn't be "just" Urias. It should be Urias, and a handful of pretty good prospects. How have we gotten to this point where we're talking about mediocre packages in return for the best catcher in baseball, in a league where there aren't very many good catchers? They should be getting two top 50 prospects, and some lower level guys MINIMUM. The Braves packages are what it should be. Some of these other deals are worse than the Yelich trade was at the time of the deal.

There is speculation that Harper will announce today as well (most are guessing Phillies). The rumor is that it will be when the MLB the Show 19 cover is released.

Yep thats why say today or Wed. Bryce to Philly today then either Atlanta and LAD panic up offers and get in OR SD/Cincy talk all night. SD/LAD on west coast so could be a long night for Miami

Cincy might also panic because they are fighting with Philly for SP's(Keuchel?). Once Philly signs Bryce they are gonna move fast on arms

LAD: At least Ruiz figures as a five or six year fixture for Marlins (with upside given his age). Vertugo and Lux seem to be off the board, but with Downs and Santana, perhaps, it could work for Marlins. Less than hoped for from our perspective, but some value nonetheless.

U probably HATE SD's system(even tho Ranked #1) since its all guys 21 and under in levels they shouldn't be at. We know u like them 25 yr olds in A Ball
