Progress yesterday but Marlins, Reds still apart on prospects that would go to Miami in potential Realmuto deal. Padres trying, with LA still in and logical. Braves, Astros, Rays among other possibilities.

Only real difference is some talk that Miami could flip Barnhart IF he is in the deal or they might even be asking for Tyler Stephenson. SD stuff is same and LAD still refuse to talk Verdugo/May or Lux with RUizLast edited by tjfla; 01-29-2019, 10:28 AM.

More useless Heyman tweets but Miami pretty much knew this which is why they gave Cincy 2 options

It seems Reds are pretty adamant about keeping Nick Senzel who’s big-League ready and can play multiple positions (he’s even decent in the OF). However, Reds are well stocked with prospects (Trammell, India, etc.) so they remain in Realmuto hunt.

Hearing the Cincy issues are with US. FO not sure if they want Barnhart and if we would even keep him.(Few teams interested) Also split on Hunter Greene-some in FO want him while others think he is a TJ Surgery waiting to happen and prefer to get Trammell. Heard India is IN any offer however

Hunter Greene Diagnosed With Sprained UCL
By Jeff Todd | August 3, 2018 at 3:56pm CDT
Top Reds prospect Hunter Greene has been diagnosed with a sprained right ulnar collateral ligament, the team announced. He won’t pitch again this season.
For the time being, Greene is slated to attempt to rehab the injury. The announcement indicates that he’ll report to the organization’s Spring Training facility and be monitored “throughout the offseason.” Perhaps the hope is that he’ll be ready to ramp up fully in camp next year.
It seems promising that the organization feels it’s worth pursuing a rehab rather than a surgical route. The club has not specified the grade of the strain. Obviously, any UCL injury raises the specter of the famous Tommy John procedure, but there’s no indication that it’s a consideration at this point in Greene’s case and plenty of pitchers have made it back from the injury without going under the knife.

Like the deals or not-its pretty much down to SD and Cincy with LAD/Atl still IN but behind BOTH refuse to give us the prospects we want. Alert to everyone don't be surprised if a deal is done TODAY OR WED!!!! Not saying it will but Miami would like to get it done before Sat
As for the Reds deal, if they get Trammell AND India, that's fine. I don't like the idea of it being India as the headliner, which is what's being reported.

Keith Law is putting out his top 100 prospects list. Today he released 51-100. No Marlins on the list, but here are where he ranked some of the prospects being talked about in some of these trades:
56. Luis Urias, SD
57. Mike Soroka, ATL
71. Jesus Sanchez, TB
76. Jonathan India, CIN
79. Will Smith, LAD
87. Austin Riley, ATL
There are more from CIN, ATL, TB, and SD, but not the names we've been talking about.
