  • Unbelievable run we're on especially considering the quality of opponent, and the state of the rotation. Kim unbelievable job, improving the offense at the deadline. Should've added arms as well, but still she has to be given kudos. Is Jazz finally emerging? He's looked like a superstar over the last couple of weeks, he's already a great defensive CF, hitting for big power, and timely power. Just stay healthy man. Who would've thought Tanner Scott would be our most valuable pitcher this year? He has been unbelievable.

    • Man, it would be sweet if we could catch the Phillies and get a home playoff series. That would be huge for the organization getting some excitement going around the city.

      • We need people to come out to the ballpark these last 6 home games. I’ll be there tomorrow and Friday night.

I think Jazz has been emerged for awhile, just hurt. 4.6 WAR his last 146 games. I'm with Lee here, just bunt on lefties.

Fangraphs was onto Scott before the year so some saw this coming, maybe not full prime Billy Wagner though. He's blowing past his 95th projectile projection which is just outstanding. I've mentioned a few times but he is a legitimate extension candidate for me. He's probably scaled up to 3/$27m at this point and he is worth it. Arraez, Luzardo, Eury, Scott, and Jazz should probably all be extended, with Soler getting a QO or 2 year deal extension himself. Kim will make her money if she can pull out those 6 internal moves plus getting a SS and C without losing any major MLB pitching. If they can somehow pry Willy Adames and Danny Jansen and sign pitchers to replace whatever is traded for them, they will be in serious serious business.

Hopefully now though Robertson and Puk get over the yips as those 3 with Nardi, and maybe Cabrera or Eury get shifted there and they roll with Luzardo, Garret, a healthy enough Sandy, and the other of them, could form a really scary playoff bullpen. Winning 7/12 probably gets them in I imagine.

Yeah, I may try to make it out to a game this week for the first time in years.

i get it's probably too late to do it for this year but they absolutely need to move the start times back to 7:10 now that the pace of play is much improved. that extra 30 minutes is desperately needed especially for people coming from broward and further north during the week.

home playoff games is what im desperate for. i want to see this team in a sold out home game. i think if there is a chance for us to make up some ground with the phillies and make it interesting, it needs to be done this series. we have favorable matchups against the mets and the phillies have the braves. Hopefully the braves bounceback and play better against the phillies and help us out.

Eh, they've shown they don't really care about Broward/north fans. The closest they have is the Brightline promotion.

                  • jake burger's numbers in his first 40 games here are pretty wild. He is on a 4.5 or so WAR pace over 160 games. His 20.9% K rate is almost 9 full percentage points lower than it has been for his career. He's hitting over .300 with a .362 OBP plus the slugging. what a pickup.

the brightline is not super cheap nor is it all that convenient of a location to get to the game. we're talking driving to the brightline station in either fort lauderdale or boca, getting on the train, then going from the train to the bus or an uber, from the uber into the game, back on a bus or uber at an undetermined time for the train ride home, then from the train back to the car to drive home. did it once for a heat game a few years back. the closest one to my house would be the boca station and the only train before the game leaves at 4:30. not happening

I’ve never understood this “they don’t care about Broward” thing.

Do you realize how far/long people in Los Angeles/New York travel to go to baseball games?

It used to take us an hour and 40 minutes to drive to Dodger games.

When I lived near Poughkeepsie, NY, it took almost 2 hours to go to a Met game.

There is zero travel time excuse for a Marlins fan who lives in Broward County to not attend 2 or 3 games a year.

                        2 or 3. Out of 162 games.

id say putting your ballpark in little havana, doing nothing to make the experience from the traffic filled highway to the parking garages better, and then moving your start time up 30 minutes is a pretty good indication that they dont care about broward fans. i used to go to 15-20 games a year in the old stadium and it was the perfect middle ground for dade and broward/palm beach fans and it was super easy to get in and out of. It's why i stopped going to heat games too. Getting there and then getting in and out of there is awful. I dont blame them for moving down there because they really had no other choice, but dont blame fans from further north for not going to the games now when it is miserable to actually get there, plus the owner doesnt seem to give a flying fuck or have enough money to run the team, so im not going to reward that with my money.

                          • It’s crazy just how quick the Mets went from highest payroll of all time with an unreal roster to a rebuilding team
