best players seem to be getting hot at the right time too now. Burger and bell had cooled of after a blazing hot start and Jazz had cooled off as of late too. With Hampson taking most of the SS starts, we really just have the C hole which isnt going away but if we can cut down the holes in the lineup by 50% for the last few weeks hopefully that goes a long way. Soler should be back this week based on his progress. I just want to see a home playoff game. This team isnt great but they are fucking resilient

Huge series.
I don't know why you are so militant about me wanting to push Luzardo to tomorrow, but enjoy your internal angertainment?

Weathers had another good start in AAA last night too - 22 IP, 3 ER last 4 starts...... and the last 17 are scoreless with 18K and 14 base runners. He's up to 74.2 innings in the minors this year with a 3.01 era and 87 K. xFIP looks right around 4.00 eye balling it for the season which isn't great but maybe the Marlins are scaling him up with a better pitch mix with their voodoo magic. I think he will turn the corner and be useful in some MLB role eventually, but I'm still with Lee here that they should take him for a spin in the Milwaukee series (at least a 1 time through lineup appearance) as he has higher upside than Cueto or Hoeing. We'll see, but just mentioning this is a good development as they need some innings help likely coming.

Or they can just work in Weathers for the 22nd and get everyone some extra rest. I hope Cueto has made his last start and is just going to be mop up or desperation.
