Don't see it that way, Lou. We're all right and wrong (though not wrong nearly as often as the Marlins front office). The two guys I remember you repeatedly touting as potential acquisitions were Castellanos and Marsh. I didn't care for either of them but Marsh has certainly proven me wrong. Appreciate your contributions and all courteous posters.

I disagree that the Marlins are just a bat or two from glory. If you take a look at the Atlanta lineup tonight, they are pretty much better everywhere than are the Marlins.

The entire lineup sucked tonight, but dlc cannot continue to start with this plate discipline. He strikes out a truly absurd amount of time. Bring up burdick and shift some of the at bats. They can both strike out a lot in solidarity with one another

Just to say, I didn't want Castellanos unless it was a team friendly deal (which was never going to happen). I was thinking Rizzo on a hometown 3 year deal made more sense. Did want Marsh for Pablo FOR SURE. Marsh is certainly playing (way) over his head (silly BABIP this year), but he has a 2.7 WAR pace over 600 PA so far with a real red statcast. I don't think we would have been upset if we got him for Pablo, even if Arraez might (or is?) be a better idea with the hindsight Jazz does look like a defensive CF. Which is something I find a bit shocking Jazz has transitioned this well this quickly. I think the pool of guys I wanted are Reynolds (+ Brubaker and Bednar), Rosario (+ Naylor and X. Curry), O. Peraza, A. Thomas, Varsho, D. Jansen, Jung, and Gorman. I'd be OK with a Casas also if they had done something like that. It's always price dependent, but those are the main ones I remember for pitching trades. And I think two "really good" guys could do it, but they would have to be "really good." That's a hard thing to do in-season, and goes back to they should have signed a SS or Nimmo and Bruce sucks!

I don't think Burdick can get past the whiffing issue. Would love to be wrong, but don't know how that kind of thing gets fixed.
