I say take a pitcher. Let our pitching gurus get a hold of him then deal him for a bat, lol.

I said this is the Minors thread but I want Nolan Schanuel at #10.
• Ridiculously good plate discipline(138 BB v 57 K; .385/.516/.698 line in 172 G/620 AB across 3 college seasons).
• Good glove at 1B
• Left handed hitter
• Projectable at 6'3/195 and should move quickly while adding more to his already good power(46 HR in college)
• Fairly effortless short and compact swing
• Rare 1B who provides base stealing potential(31 SB v 4 CS in his 172 G)
• Local kid(Boynton Beach and then Florida Atlantic) making him marketable if he makes the Majors
• Predicted to go a bit lower in the 1st so would be under slot

Just food for thought…..
I wonder if the FO and its inner circle know something about Xavier Edwards that we don’t know?
The Padres were ok moving on from him? Was there a reason? Attitude?
What else could be the reason he’s still in the minors?

Segura is swinging a better bat since coming back. I think he’s going to have a really good second half
obviously a small sample but before the hit last inning he had a .743 ops and a 5/4 k/bb ratio. So he’s probably somewhere around .760 ops since coming back now
i don’t think they are going for a 3b anyways most likely (I think they go ss, 1b or corner outfielder), but I would count on him getting hot and bouncing back and getting a lot closer to his career numbers by the end of the yearLast edited by fish16; 07-06-2023, 07:16 PM.
