    I think it's a bad offer.

You make a deal for JT with the Reds and don't get Trammell and India, it's a bad trade, simple as that. Both good prospects, but neither can't miss guys, both in their 20s, who haven't made it to AA yet. Should not be too much to ask.

JT is the best player at his position in baseball. A position where there is a serious lack of talent. Yelich was a nice young player, but people didn't expect him to be an MVP caliber player when he was traded. JT, however, was putting up MVP numbers for a good stretch of the season. The notion that Yelich had far more value is ridiculous.

It was more about a long, cheap contract with Yelich. Ozuna and Realmuto are two-year rentals.

Sure, but that's only part of the equation. Whoever trades for Realmuto will be doing so with the idea of keeping him longterm. But a team like LA can look at Realmuto as the final piece to a championship, or a team like the Braves could see him as the player that puts them into the picture as a real contender. That's what he gives you when it's so hard to fill the catcher spot with an impact player.

Of course you want them to beat the offers, but you don’t have to blow them away. Playing JT a bunch of times in a year doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have a good team. You take the best deal. Period. And this Reds deal doesn’t feel very impressive at all. It feels lighter than the Yelich return for a player that has more value currently than Yelich did when they moved him.
Ya I heard it was Riley but ALL other reports have said Pache. The Braves info is spotty because they really havent talked all that much. Seems the Atlanta offer is Wright/Pache/others while Miami wants Anderson/Riley(but are cool with Pache)/others

Pretty much this and if we hold onto JT(will NOT happen) we would get even LESS at trade deadline. This is why SD and Cincy wanted to talk extension first-IF they would have agreed we probably could get MORE but if he said he didn't wanna play there than the teams would drop out

I get not wanting to acquire JT via losing Bellinger. But put together a prospect offer the Marlins can’t refuse.
Everyone does. Other than Ruiz they are refusing to include Verdugo,May,Lux.LAD has a history of lowballing us(did it on Stanton and Yelich which pissed off our FO). LAD/Atlanta/Houston/SD/TB could ALL beat Cincy's offer if they wanted but at this point haven't which is why u keep hearing 5/6 teams talking still and this trade hasn't been done yet.

Miami thought they had great deal done with Cincy on Tues-India/Greene/Barnhart but Greene's medicals were very bad(TJ needed)

LAD/Atlanta/Houston/SD/TB could all become the trade partner VERY EASILY(as it drags on)just a matter of 1 of those teams giving us that 1 player we want.

The best part of the #Reds trade proposal of India, Barhart and 3rd player to the #Marlins being leaked is how many GM’s will be picking up the phone and calling the #Marlins this am and saying “I can beat that offer
              ”…...

Exactly the reason the deal has NOT been agreed to AND now hearing that TB/SD are back IN

Miami was asking TB for Sanchez OR McKay with 3 others and TB passed. But they can beat the Cincy offer very easy without them. SD can beat it with Meija/Morejon/ML OF/low level MIF(Xavier Edwards)

No clue about TB would offer but ?/Brandon Lowe/Liberatore/Comp A Pick/40 man guy who needs to be added for JT and Witt or Straily is a very solid offer

They really need to call Cincy/TB/SD/LAD/Atlanta and say give us your FINAL OFFER by Monday and decide. Miami is trying to get the best offer possible and its dragging this thing on longer and longer.
Again they had a deal agreed to with Cincy that beat all others(India/Greene/Barnhart) until medicals came in on Greene

This makes total sense. Miami could actually stay away from all the Rays top-ranked (top five or six in their system) and still get three or four players that would top the Miami prospect list. If Miami still wants a superstar, Brujan would be it.

Get choice of what they want

                  SP(Liberatore/Baz/McClanahan)
                  MIF(Fox/Brujan//Tyler Frank)
Brandon Lowe(Replaces Neil Walker in July as LHB at 1B/2B/OF)
                  Comp A Pick
Lotto Ticket or 2(Guy who needs to be on 40 man Next Year/low level guy-Sandy Gaston?)

Again no clue if Miami would do it but beats Cincy offer

Liberatore/Brujan/Brandon Lowe/Sandy Gaston/throw in player(project type)/Comp A Pick for JT and Straily or Witt then sign Martin Maldonado

                  - - - - - - - - - -

SD AND TB could beat Cincy offer very easily without giving up their TOP guys however question is WILL they?

Total agreement. Rays have a 40-man roster crunch ahead of them (a consequence of having such a rich system) that works in Marlin favor. Being an AL team (with DH) makes JT extra valuable - another factor.

Again though, that TB deal would be settling. You can get that Reds offer or that TB one at the deadline or next winter. A team getting JT for 2 cheap seasons needs to give up an elite prospect. Period.

Settling? Tell that to Cincy fans-they are crying they are giving up TOO much with India/Santillan/Barnhart and can't figure out why a deal hasn't been done yet. Reason why is SD/TB can and what I heard made calls beating it already

TB was in talks with deep talks with us until we demanded Sanchez or McKay as centerpiece and SD was gona wait to get aggressive but at the Cincy price decided to try now(Miami asked for Gore/Tatis/Urias and were told NO) but Mejia/Morejon/ML OF/Edwards can beat Cincy's offer

I will tell them that, and tell them that they're dumb. Two borderline Top 100 prospects for the best Catcher in baseball is laughable.

Laughable as LAD offering Ruiz and pretty much nothing else for JT and them taking all others OFF limits

You take him off the trade block then, if that's all you can get. Realmuto isn't going to sit out the season. He's not happy oh well. You wanna get traded? Play like a superstar, get teams to up their offer.

Well Mejia/Morejon/ML OF/Edwards is a legitimate offer that I’d take it if that’s the best on the table.
