I doubt they are interested in either of them BUT still hear they are interested in our pitchers even tho they are far backLast edited by tjfla; 06-28-2018, 11:15 AM.

Milwaukee is VERY interested in DD.
I would take one of their toolsy OF(Grisham/Lutz) and an arm like Diplan/Mederios for DD however the market is pretty big for him so
He is staying in but watch MRI will show something and they wont be able to deal him

MLB.com mentions as "interested"
DD-Milwaukee and Boston
Bearclaw-Milwaukee and Cleveland
Ziegler and DD have interest from Boston. One note is if we trade them there we likely will be paying salary so Boston doesn't go over hard tax line. We like Swihart/CJ Chatham/2 or 3 of their young arms(Mata/Raoudes/Diaz)

Rusney hitting .310 over last 750 PA in Pawtucket. I think that's worth a risk if Boston eats a lot of money.

Pretty interesting - https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2018-international-prospect-board/
Projecting Gaston to Miami - and specially highlighted him as the Marlins going in for big money for a pitcher his age.
yay to spending money, nay to being risky with that (unless they are always going to spend moving forward so go for it!).

I would take a chance on Swihart. Problem with Boston is they are against hard cap which means ANY guy they get either money has to be included or money has to be going out.
Market for all of our guys is pretty large. DD/Ziegler/Bearclaw/Steck/Conley/JT all have multiple teams. Bour/Straily/Castro/Maybin/Holaday/Urena/Rojas have 1 or 2Last edited by tjfla; 06-29-2018, 04:35 PM.

Originally posted by tjfla View PostGaston money wise is all over the place. Some say 1 million, some 2 million and other 3 million. But we are signing him on Monday so we will know. The thing is the "Top" Guys were already committed so I dont mind adding talent like Gaston even tho costs some. But from what I hear-we are gonna be big players in IFA market starting 2019(Spending ALL cash and maybe even getting more)

I'd love to see us go sign Victor Victor Mesa who will apparently sign next year.

Good to know that the Marlins will finally become big players in the International market...we always should have been, but Loria...

One thing about the Mesa Brothers is if they are announced as FA before July 1,2019 that means teams have to use 2018 pool cash on them unless they wanna wait until July 2
2019 it looks like we will be playersLast edited by tjfla; 06-30-2018, 02:35 PM.
