He has to go but teams are waiting for us to up the money we are willing to include. Right now his market is slim

    • I wouldn't expect us to get much for him, but team's needing relief from taking on $12 million remaining on a contract seems a bit ridiculous.

      • Mike Rizzo said this

They’ve got a great player in Realmuto," said the Nats' GM. "They’re not going to sell him cheap. We know what the return has to be on Realmuto, and we’re not willing to meet that price.

Miami will NOT come off of Soto OR Robles while Washington keeps trying to do Kieboom and others. 1 reason they will not come off is because Washington is in the NL East-reports are they are willing to discuss very good quantity over that 1 TOP guy with other teams like Houston,Minn,Colorado,Toronto,Milwaukee

When I say very good quantity I mean like the Yelich deal

Doubtful they would but that is what it would take!!! Also no sense that Steck is on block
You're not getting a FV60 catcher for a reliever. Mejia = Realmuto centerpiece.

Barraclough and Dietrich make a ton of sense for them though. I think Chang could be centerpiece, totally blocked with Lindor (https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.asp...76&position=SS). Fangraphs has him low 70s overall prospect in baseball. Marlins wouldn't need much else besides FV40 guys who have arms.

The theoretical SS of the future would be amazing for them.

          • Not really a fan of Milwaukee system(after Yelich deal) but heard Miami thinks they could get what they want from them in a JT deal.

I know they aren't which is why I said doubtful!! Cleveland has an OK system but I think if Chang or even Castro is the centerpiece alot of other teams could beat that offer. I am with u on Bearclaw and DD makes a ton of sense for them.

Top 5 pick next means 2 College Catchers(Rutschman/Langliers),2 College SS(Davidson/Stott) and HS SS(Witt Jr) in Top 5 so u really don't need to look for a SS or C of the future in deals. Just keep adding talent and take a College C or SS in 2019 draft

            • If we could get Hiura from Milwaukee i'd do that in a heartbeat.

That is who they are probably asking for. Hiura,Burnes OR Ortiz,Marcus Diplan/mid level type and young C like Feliciano

Haven't heard names just that they think they can get what they are looking for if Milwaukee wants him

I have to imagine he's near or passed the Super 2 deadline at this point. Alcantara still has a good deal to learn in the minors still, but I'm not opposed to bringing him up for the bullpen and have him starting by September.

                          • I wouldn't be opposed to outright release of Chen at this point.

I think I prefer Kieboom over Hiura at this point.

I hate Chen. I hate defending Chen but I’m going to tonight.

He gave up one hard hit ball in the disaster bottom of the 4th.

Carlos Gonzalez kicked the baseball (soccer style) out of Castro’s hand at 2B and was called safe (that started the disaster).

The Rockies pitcher was trying to give the Marlins an out but Bour decided to throw home when he had no shot.

A ball got dinked into left field. Etc etc......
