The fact that Shuck and Rivera have spent as much time on the team as they have is kind of incredible. Good to see Shuck gone, hopefully Rivera to follow with Prado coming back.
I think Cooper has a very good chance to be our next bour type player. I hope we give him a ton of playing time the rest of the year to see what we have.

Realmuto < - Go all in trying to sign him unless overwhelmed
Bour < - Because no contender need him so he stays
Rojas < - Because there is no one else and he's really not terrible even if he should be super utility
Riddle < - Because why not see if he hits at least right handers
Anderson < - Because for the love of god put him at 3B longterm
Dean < - Because why not see if he is a fluky out of nowhere Yonder Alonso breakout type
Brinson < - Obviously sinking or swimming here
Cooper < - At least strong side of platoon to see if he hits
Telis < - 1 last shot to be the backup
Prado < - Backs up everywhere and hopefully is healthy. Can't move the contract
Ortega < - Try out as 4th OF, BB rate is great in AAA right now, had a solid last year, and has theoretically a good skill set
TBD < - No fucking idea, presumably they get someone MLB ready in one of the deadline moves
I can live with that with an eye towards next year.

They have been asking for low level guys in trades(A Ball and lower) so doubt we see any ML ready guys
Guys they wanna promote are Wallach,Dean,Lee,Guerra,Garcia,Peters and wouldn't be surprised if a few guys who have to be added to 40 man to avoid Rule 5 get looks like Brigham/RP
Bour and JT are likely here till Winter Meetings. Urena's name was picking up steam before hurt(looked good yesterday). Wouldn't be surprising if they sold high on Straily AND Urena
Conley still looks like the RP who will be moved(2 reasons-Teams see him as cheaper Brad Hand and asking price on Bearclaw/Steck is crazy)Last edited by tjfla; 07-05-2018, 12:54 PM.

Also...Wallach?? I'd rather just keep Holaday.

The price would have to still be pretty high.

Well Holaday will likely be dealt. A few contenders really like him because is better than current backup and still throwing out runners

But that's the thing. Conley shouldn't net a big package, so who cares if he turns into nothing in 2019.
I'll take the possibility of a poor man's Brad Hand versus a nominal prospect package.

And the Barraclough and Steckenrider prices should be crazy with what they are doing/years of control.
Although I suspect the July 30th Barraclough price will move to "reasonable."

That "nominal" package might be more than people think
Atlanta and Houston have also moved into the Bearclaw/Steck/Conley interest. Miami has scouted both systems since Nov-they like Corbin Martin from Houston
Also remember before anyone says they don't need RP or stuff-these guys are all controlled for years. Means u dont have to sign a FA for 3/27 and lose picks tooLast edited by tjfla; 07-05-2018, 02:10 PM.

Might be important to note Conley costs $2 million next year in arbitration. He will have 350 IP at that point which is a healthy amount. There is some risk there in keeping him I suppose.
Still think that's cheap enough to not just shoot him out in a lowkey deal. I think they need to beat the Ramos/Phelps deals here given he's a lefty, still cheaper, and more years of control. And a lot more then that for Barraclough or Steckenrider.

Fangraphs article Marlins minor league pitching mentions - https://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/to...ing-prospects/
They have Niedert, Gallen, Alcantara, and Pablo ranked (in that order) within their top 52. Niedert is # 4. I guess that's what happens when you dominate AA.
Good stuff here.
