We probably started with an easier schedule through the first 21 games last year.

on another note, sixto posted a video of his bullpen yesterday. Once again it looks like he’s not throwing anywhere near 100% unless I’m just looking at the video and not seeing something. Still nowhere close to a rehab assignment by the looks of it let alone being back in the majors

Big picture though, I thought a 13-13 start would be a best case scenario with the early schedule and here we are 12-10. Four right handers in a row coming up even if they are good ones and the Atlanta bats are behind them. Just win one and it opens up, relatively speaking, for 2 months.

The FO is pretty analytical and there is no way they would ever stand for a right handed reliever coming up against Varsho and P. Smith last year with Okert available. I am so enraged by that decision I remember it a full year later. This one starts from the top IMO, and I do think Kim won this battle as lineups and bullpen usage are vastly improved whether that is coming from her hand picked manager or the FO calling down the moves (or setting guidelines) and Skip following them. I do understand Kim is a punching bag and there are many things to point to from Garcia to Stallings and even if Bruce's payroll is shitty, where is this creative trade for another upside bat as that hasn't happened, but I can't see firing Mattingly being a Kim call. Maybe I am wrong.
