CF is going to be a roller (fucking) coaster, but it basically sets up a playing time battle of the entire bench.
I think you can live with this until you get to Monte (or Brinson if he gets his head on straight).

Actually have some solid depth just nothing special(maybe 2 who could be in ML at some point) with most older guys Defensive C only
AAA-Wallach/Lavarnway
AA-Leon/Navaretto/Chavez
Hi A-Banfield/BJ Lopez/Osborne
Lo A-Barstad or Fish/Skelton/Arcaya
There are three fringe prospects here at absolute best - Wallach, Banfield and Fortes. This is probably 3 career backups if anything, and maybe Banfield starts hitting and becomes a good backup/platoon guy. No one else is even cracking their likely top 60-75 prospects. I think I've seen 1 random sentence on Fish that he's a good athlete. That's it.
They have *BAD* catcher depth and anyone they draft should not be blocked by anyone on this list. You also only need to take 1 in every draft early, so you're never going to get 10. Who cares if your 17th round pick isn't getting PA. Go out and earn them behind Fortes and Banfield.

You didn't even mention Fortes.

I am not as high as jerar as others but it’s clear he has legit major league power if he can figure out the rest of his hitting approach. Reminds me of ozuna coming up

Ya I appreciate tjflas knowledge of the system but just naming guys they have to play positions doesn’t mean we have depth, it just means we have bodies. Catcher and first base are our two worst positions in terms of depth in the system. Maybe 3b is somewhere close in there

Is there any info on vvm putting on any weight over the offseason or anything
Not sure he matters for the Marlins.

Also spring training results are pretty meaningless but I do think it says something when you have legitimate prospects in these late innings of early spring training games going against organizational depth guys

Jerar is a MASSIVE human.
Great to see Urena go out and fire nothing but strikes. It would do my heart good to see him earn his third straight Opening Day start. (Wouldn't hurt his trade value either).Last edited by Lee Stone; 02-25-2020, 04:26 PM.
