Great to see Urena go out and fire nothing but strikes. It would do my heart good to see him earn his third straight Opening Day start. (Wouldn't hurt his trade value either).
I think there is no way Sandy is not throwing opening day

You didn't see him pitch then. It was reallly ugly. Two feet out of the strike zone with the fastball ugly.

      • Jesus Lee it was his first outing of the spring, you know how this works. If hes still struggling in Mid March then we'll talk.

            • I just differ in my evaluation of Alcantara. I like the durability (which is a problem for most of the other current starters), but his WHIP cannot and will not support excellence in my singular opinion. He throws too few strikes and doesn't have an out pitch. I'd love to be completely wrong about him ... and I know most of you already believe I am. I hope you are right.

              • I heard Alcantara threw a ball as a child and it didn't go where he was trying to throw. Automatic failure, doomed to be horrible forever.

I saw 24-year-old Alcantara throw 38 pitches on Monday and none of them went where he was trying to throw them. Perhaps he'll do better next time.

Lou, I thought their Yimi Garcia piece was far better: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/the-intr...f-yimi-garcia/

Jorge Guzman's stock took a bigger hit than Wall Street this week. Yep, it was just one outing, but I didn't care for it at all.

At least Lewis Brinson’s stock went all the way up yesterday. Guy is going to be a stud.

                      • Today's lineups in Jupiter: https://www.mlb.com/gameday/marlins-...b=,game=606183

We're going to lull them to sleep with our starters then attack with the bench. Se llama Pablo Lopez.

                        • Pablo really struggling. Hasn't given up a run yet, though.

                          • Someone should let Pablo know we are in a PLAYOFF HUNT.

Pablo is gone. Didn’t make it out of the 2nd inning.

                            • 2-0 Cardinals. They've left 6 on thru 2.
