I assume we all agree with this

    • Especially if he plays CF it's going to be tough to match 4 WAR, because best your hoping for really is replacement level defender if he's out there.

Yeah but if you get rid of Sandy’s two worst starts in 2019, his numbers are amazing!!! Top of the rotation numbers!

admirable of you to take time out of your busy schedule dealing with your balls riddled aunt to keep up your usual tradition of posting nothing of substance

And I think sandy ends up peaking as a #2. He doesn’t have enough swing and miss ability to be a #1 but his end to last year was unbelievably promising

Good stuff. If you include Burdick and Jerar, I think you gotta include Scott and Misner. Especially Misner, his raw tools are off the charts.

Super Dark Horse for the top 100 in 2021: Victor Mesa Jr. - Very curious to see if they would dare start him at Clinton this year. Will be 18 for the entirety of the 2020 season.

It's hard for me to get behind raw power guys unless they have something else going for them - premium defense, exceptional BB rate, etc. I also don't think relievers should ever really make a top 100 list, unless it's literally a Rivera/Chapman comp.

Also to note, Scott (and Devers) weren't eligible for this list as they were on it last year. Scott may be in the same category.

If I had to guess, the Marlins 2021 top 100 prospects are (I'm expecting graduations for Sixto, Cabrera, Monte, Lewin, Neidert, and Guzman):

                Bleday
                Jazz
                2020 # 3 pick (Hancock/Gonzalez/Tork)
Sanchez (I don't think he graduates and they take it slow with him)
                Garrett

I think Scott, Misner, and Rogers may be the only guys able to break through. Maybe they get lucky with a IFA or their second pick in the draft. I'd be floored if Burdick or Jerar shoot up that much.

nvm, I just realized you mean Jesus. I could see that, but I could also see him up in July, we'll just have to see.

I think Burdick is just going to continue to hit, he's going to force them to at least consider him, that's my prediction.

No. I think Cabrera is coming up and throwing bullets in July/Aug.

I think Sanchez is going to come up post super-2 2021, and they are going to roll with Dickerson-Monte-Anderson (Villar 3B) for this year once Monte is up, with Ramirez/Brinson getting some real playing time to see if they are anything. Maybe this is May 2021 if he's really good and screw the super 2 status.

All the reports say Sanchez is really raw and needs some time. I'm expecting them to work on his swing. He's really young and has 2 option years. They can wait on him this year.

I forget they are both Sanchez's as I internally only think of him as SIXTO. My bad

Sixto would have been a good name for Alfonseca also.

Alfonseca had a pretty good nickname if I remember correctly. "The Dragon Slayer". Only guy I every saw get ejected from the bullpen, which was behind the outfield wall, I'll never forget that.

                          • Apparently Alfaro lost 15 pounds this offseason.

That’s the one I was gonna say. He had imaging to go with it that is played on the lebatard show from time to time.

On a random note, I heard carter Capps name mentioned by Samson today and I hadn’t heard that name in years. There’s a great game to be played just coming up with random 2009-2016 old marlins players
