#Phillies recently checked in on #Marlins’ Realmuto, sources tell The Athletic. Phils, like many teams, routinely monitor markets for top players in trades and free agency. Continued availability of Realmuto led to renewed communication. No indication deal is close.

They tried months ago and wouldn't even talk about Top guys but Marlins have interest in what they got

Sixto/Haseley/Nick Williams/Alfaro/low level MIF

I wouldn't count Philly IN on JT especially since like Atlanta they have to overpay since in NL East and Miami isn't a fan of helping them add Harper or Machago but this is what Miami has been waiting for-makes Atlanta/LAD/Cincy/SD raise prices. Like said Harper/Machado is killing JT market(No one knows what to do at this point)

No, but he is a good stop-gap to get to July. He does still project as a 1 WAR player. You could see him get a "Mills" loogy (Bour deal) at the deadline. He's also probably a good clubhouse influence for the kids.

Herrera has literally Sierra to beat for the roster. No one else can play CF unless there is a meteoric VVM/Monte rise. Guerrero and Ramirez are C-OF right?

I agree with that, just pointing out his trade value will be minimal at best. I'm ok with the signing since it's a lost year anyway. Helps to keep the younger players developing in the minors.

Given that Brinson is no sure thing, they should be striving for a legitimate 4th OF to platoon with Granderson in LF, basically back up Prado as Anderson would shift to 3B on those days, and otherwise backup Brinson/Anderson in the OF.

I don't see this as a surplus problem. Pompey can go to A+ for sure and move up when others promoted. There is no rush.

love the granderson signing. lefty power bat who should be decent enough to start ad give 300-400 ab's while the young guys develop. also a phenomenal clubhouse guy. great signing for a minors deal.
