No clue I heard it like at NOON. But I highly doubt we trade 2 of Maybin/Morrison/Stanton for anything.

I know they offered what Lebatard said and we rejected them. If we would offer a Miller/West/and 1 of the big 3 the deal would be done

    They want PITCHING!!

No thanks to dealing Stanton to SD. How long would we be able to control Gonzalez? What's his contract like?

so you don't think a deal with the padres is likely?
                --------------------
i don't blame the FO if we don't add a huge impact player. everyones asking for too much

This is the same deal with Halladay. The Padres have no need to deal Gonzalez unless they get exactly what they want in a deal.

All depends on what we offer. They want this

1 of Morrison/Stanton/Maybin with Stanton their fave
                    and
2 ML ready pitchers (West and Miller)

This is where a healthy Anibal Sanchez,Kyle Winters,or Ryan Tucker would be useful or a RVH that was healthy and was dominanting AAA would come in handy

Its like the Boston/Gonzalez thing. Boston offered younger guys like Bowden and Masterson and SD said Clay Buchholz and that was the end of it

Not really I think San Diego would like to get rid of him and lose salary then trade Peavy in the offseason.

That is why they insist on a Morrison/Stanton.Get a very cheap replacement

Morrison has a ton of potential really reminds of how Gonzalez was in the minors with the eye type of player. Except he has more power shown.

Hard to pass up a cheap signed player like Gonzalez for the long term considering how good he is and we can control him for a few more years. Plus he was doing it in a pitchers park, here he wouldnt get a downgrade in numbers most likely.

                      How is his defense?

Gonzalez? He's phenomenal defensively; think Rafael Palmeiro.

then I guess it would be Cantu back to third for a year or two.

No way we could convince them (lace their drink with LSD?) and get them to take coughlin and gaby over logan right?

It would be a pretty sick lineup gotta say which is what we need.

That's an insanely good contract, especially if we set in our minds that he essentially removes Uggla from the team in the offseason without an issue.

I have no issues with Morrison/Maybin/Miller for him.
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

I wish, but I doubt it.

But yeah, Hanley/Gonzalez/Cantu in the middle of that order is just crazy.
