of course. but its all about giving to others and not about him. Andy Slater giving him a platform annoys the hell out of me. His performance in that winter thing with Jeter made me cringe.

Machado and cash(maybe IFA pool space too for Victor Victor) to LAD for 5 prospects

5 prospects for a Rental!!! Worse is they might get 1 or 2 million to add to the IFA Cap

Yep. Hopefully Colorado panics and will shop Brendan Rodgers. He definitely is a centerpiece for Realmuto if he gets on the table.

They really really need position players somehow. Realmuto, Bour, Rojas, and Dietrich all can make sense for them and be big upgrades. Let alone Barraclough as they basically have a 3 man bullpen.

          Could be interesting.

Colorado is the same as Oakland. They could use alot of our guys and farm system matches up perfect with us

            Rodgers-centerpiece
            Lambert/Castellani/Pint-arms
            Garrett Hampson-SS/UT
            Dom Nunez-23 yr old C
            Vilade/Welker/Nevin-younger bats
            Spanberger-Power bat

Action should start picking up Friday and hope hear some mentions of Oakland/Colorado with us

Looks like the Adam Conley market is going to get nuts to. Talk is Zach Britton to Philly which means NYY/LAD/Hou/Boston/Clev all will be fighting for a LHR.

Brad Hand/Conley and a few other really crappy ones are on the market

This is why I said don't be surprised if he is dealt. Heard some crazy talk(names in offers) for him

McMahon and Dahl are still around too.

They definitely line up for something, but I like Oakland's depth much better even if Rodgers is the best prospect on both teams.

Not a fan of Dahl but ya McMahon still around

Oakland has depth and don't forget they got some NYY prospects that Denbo had a hand in getting

Won't mention team(AL TEAM) but my "janitor" buddy told me of a rumor and I was like thats a solid offer for Bearclaw

He messages me back and says NO NO-thats the offer for Adam Conley!!

                • Thoughts: Is Brian Anderson better than Yelich right now? Given comp offensive numbers and Anderson's superior OF defense and positional flexibility, he gets the definite nod. Why isn't Realmuto playing every day? Vs. lefties, he should play 1B.

Well, Anderson does have more positional flexibility. Other than that, pretty much everything else here is wrong.

I think Realmuto is playing pretty much every day. Holaday is down to about one start per week.

                        No.

Anderson, 424 PA, 2.4 WAR. Projected WAR ROS - .7-.8
Yelich 357 PA, 2.2 WAR. Projected WAR ROS - 1.5-1.6. And this is with him being a little slow through being hurt.

But, Anderson is having a fantastic year and this is a best case scenario for the Marlins to have identified a longterm starter.

The question to me is, get him to 3B already. Yea he can play RF well, but let him grow where he should be longterm.

?? Offensive numbers are remarkably similar. Anderson's OF arm is vastly superior.

Ya he won't be in RF when this is all said. He is a 3B/1B type

Yeah I was gonna say since Realmuto returned from that injury in April I have a hard time believing any catcher in the league has played as much as him. (maybe his recent paternity leave changed that, but still) I could get behind playing Realmuto at 1st base against lefties, if we had a backup catcher that could hit at all. Bour against lefties is still way more productive than Holaday.

I disagree with this, I think it all comes down to positional need. At this point I think it's more likely he ends up at 3rd Base, because that's more of an organizational need at this poin than OF, but if we trade for a top 3B Prospect or something, I could very easily see Anderson sticking in the OF. If Anderson ends up at 1st Base that would be a huge disappointment.

Again this a similar discussion everyone has with you every single time you make a controversial statement like this. It's all about sample size. They have similar numbers now. (Yelich slightly better) but Yelich has been doing it for 3000+ Plate Appearances. Anderson for about 500. Also, Christian Yelich is a gold glove winning outfielder. I think you're overrating arm strength, range in the OF is much more important defensively than arm strength, and I don't think you could argue that Yelich doesn't have easily superior range in the OF.

                              • Well I think Anderson is at 3B but if Nelson or Dunand turn into something I could see BA at 1B

I see the OF as Brian Miller/Brinson/Harrison with Lee/Sierra as 4th OF and if we sign Victor Victor he could be in LF
