He brings nothing else to the table, so when that bat isn’t hot, he’s useless. It’s why every projection system still has him at around 1.5 war for the entire year despite being a really solid hitter to date due to the recent hot streak. If he was more consistent or brought more to the table it would be more playable. He’s been great lately though with the bat which is awesome

One could easily argue that Alcantara, Cabrera, Luzardo, and Rogers have all seen their value dip this season. Garrett has shown some upside but he's not going to fetch a blue chipper in return at this point. Cappe has taken a huge dive in the last month. The system is so weak that we picked up a no name, middle age CF to hold down the fort. (I do like Davis, by the way).
The best idea I can come up with is to deal Soler while he's hot to the offense starved Yankees for SS prospect Oswald Peraza, who is smoking in AAA. Such a deal would require some promising pitching too, a Braxton Garrett at the least.
Despite Alcantara's rough start, I still see a window to trade him to Baltimore for a couple major improvements to the everyday lineup.
WTH isn't X Edwards starting every day somewhere on the field? If you are going to sit him for the likes of Wendle, Hampson, and Segura, he might as well be back in Jacksonville. (On that note, the team must have been very unhappy with Edwards play in CF, because he figures to hit just as well as Davis.)
