Gotta give skip credit, maybe he has a good feel for the bullpen. Regardless, the 15 games so far have been managed really well. Much better pinch hitting choices, better lineup construction, and the team just feels different than the last few years with Mattingly. He grew stale

Garret is a pretty good spot starter has to be way above league average for that role. Always a question of how good he could have been without the velocity drop post Tommy John... Any news on Sixtos extended spring training outing?

Also enjoyable start to the season, Arraez just fun to watch. Hoping Jazz picks up soon, looking a bit better in Centre but clearly will continue to be a learning curve

I wonder if the longer the Marlins hang on to contention, the more likely it might be for them to actually pull the trigger on going after another bat at SS or corner OF.

That trade is fine. They have more than enough pitching and still need hitting even with jazz

The schedule really eases up in about 10 days for 2 months versus what happens July-end of season. They are going to need to pad the scoreboard so to speak now. So I'd hope that answer is 2-4 weeks and they are still .500 with the pitcher's showing this kind of upside. Larger question - what can they even trade right now that'll bring back an impact player if you take the current MLB staff and Eury off the table? Eder seems banged up (always). I don't think they will move Berry, Watson, Cappe, and Mack personally as they have too much invested in them via draft picks and scouting pedigree for Cappe. Are we looking at Fulton as the primary piece (as Meyer is also hurt in addition to Eder and that's difficult for someone to take on?) or maybe I am wrong and they throw in Watson or Cappe and someone really believes in them. And even a larger question, who has a SS to trade? It's hard to see the guys coming up for FA soon (Adames, Kim, Rosario) being moved as those teams aren't giving up. Yankees would want a ton for Peraza, etc. I feel that comes first, and they can get some sort of 1B/OF/DH bat later in June/July if needed.

Side note - You know what sucks, the Angels 1st round pick in 2022 (Zach Neto) was called up and is going to be their starting SS it seems quickly. Expectations have to be low for such an aggressive move, but that's the kind of thing the Marlins really could use right now.

Great hitters succeed 3 times out of 10 when they’re in the batters box. Jazz going 0-3 against Gallen or 3 for 3 against Gallen says nothing about Mike Hill’s legacy.

One of the writers on one of those fringe marlins sites said they saw him in an extended spring game and sixto was throwing 97. No idea if that’s remotely true, but I hope it is

Gotta wonder how much longer they hold onto Sanchez. Burdick seems like a better fit for this team given his ability to hit lefties, and he can be a better platoon partner for dlc or Garcia or jazz. Can they get a bullpen arm from a crappy team hoping Sanchez can be a reclamation project for them?
