im not basing it off of 10 innings, im basing it on his performance last year, spring, wbc, and his first 2 starts this year. we're getting to a full calendar year of real dominance at times. k/9 and WHIP and FIP indicate this isnt luck, this is a guy throwing complete fucking gas and mowing down hitters every 5 days. As nick said, the only question with him is health, and ill take that risk if we can sign him long term immediately.

luzardo's last 5 starts dating back to last year including today. 6.2 Innings, 1 run, 11 k's, 1 walk. 6 innings 2 runs 6 k's 2 walks. 6 innings, 0 runs, 12 k's, 1 walk. 5.2 Innings, 5 k's, 4 walks, no runs. and today absolutely cruising.

the failure to go to robo umps is infuriating. so easy to get games perfect, and yet they refuse in the name of tradition.

came here to say exactly that. He's earned the 7th, but if anyone gets on id pull him and get someone fresh in there. the 6th and 7th inning really seem to give him troubles. Not to mention its hot as shit out today and he might be wearing down a little. it's the bottom of the order though, so at least give him the opportunity to try.

Again, I said that when he first arrived. When most projections had him ending up in the pen. When he was a 5 ERA pitcher who didn't strike anyone out. When everyone was upset he was the centerpiece of the Ozuna trade.

I'm not sure why that gets ignored.

exactly, it's one thing if an ump is just calling outside or inside pitches strikes or balls, but they arent even consistent. Just completely all over the place and very easy to fix. just nonsense not to do it by now when the technology is there.
