We’re 4 games in. The first 6 weeks of the season are rough opponent wise.
I mean this is going to fluctuate wildly until the end of May and maybe all of Garcia, DLC, Sanchez, Yuli, Wendle, and Stallings stink so they have a pure dead zone 2-3 spots in the lineup all days, but I think it's silly for someone to make 2-3 posts the entire offseason and then storm back to say they went 1-3 in an opening series against the Mets. SSS.
Frankly, I'm most interested in Soler and Fortes really hammered some balls and maybe Arraez is even better than we think as he has low exposure against NL teams and these pitchers don't know how to deal with him yet. I'm pretty sure Jazz is going to be great and Cooper, Segura, Berti, and Wendle will be themselves, so if we're thinking about good omens - Soler and Fortes working out are two of the biggest things they will need to have a chance. Gotta get something out of the other outfielders, but we'll see what happens. The SP will stabilize pretty quickly IMO.

Yeah it’s the Mets but David Peterson and Tylor Megill aren’t exactly worldbeaters. We’ll see about Senga. Then a bullpen without their best arm. Frustrating to have your lead off guy go 9 for 16 and only muster 8 runs in a 4 game series.

I’m not sure why I let this team make me as angry as they do, but here we are again with an unserious franchise.

Also, the Jazz experiment in CF has been terrible thus far. Hopefully it gets better, but if it doesnt idk how they keep this going the whole year.

Arraez was a huge get, but Garcia, Wendle, and Stallings just cannot be every day players. Maybe garcia bounces back, but there is no bounce back to wendle and stallings, they are thoroughly mediocre players at best. They so desperately need an all star SS or one more impact OF bat.

It's also easy what happens. Arraez/Soler/Berti are going to play a lot more OF, Sanchez/DLC shift to a CF platoon, Arraez plays a lot more 1B, Cooper plays a lot more DH. Yuli gets DFA'd for Iglesias as Wendle will need the help on lefties and Berti may not be available. Jazz handles 2B forever. I have no short term issues with what they'd do without Jazz in CF. The team would set itself with what they have today. This ignores the total failure of the CF experiment of course.
The longterm issue is then, not only do you need a longterm SS, you now need a longterm CF as well and I'm back on that soapbox. I'll spare the "what if" permutation, but basically they'd be looking at signing a FA SP again ala Cueto or better, and then using that to create trade depth for another bat. Plus would need to sign Rosario or Bader in free agency as the 2nd big bat upgrade, etc. And re-sign Cooper or better for a 1 year platoon 1B/DH (or maybe Soler doesn't opt out). And a good RHP reliever more than likely.
Rinse, repeat offseason.

They just moved Enright to 60-day IL. Hope the guy is doing alright, but at the same time they can really milk this to keep him off the MLB team as long as possible to retain his rights.
Jeff Lindgren was just called up. Because nothing makes sense anymore. How is that happening the 5th game of the year where non-prospect adds are up? I understand Enright and Nance are hurt (as well as Sixto, Meyer, and Bender) among right handers, but this is really digging deep. I suppose they feel no one will pick him up once he is DFA'd and don't care if they lose him just to have a body up there for garbage time, but still.
