I wouldn't trade Eury for Reynolds. I'm only dealing a prospect like that for a young proven star, or another elite prospect close to the majors, or that just got there (like a Jordan Walker). I'd empty the rest of the system for him, though, or trade a current starter, and prospects.

burdick just hit his 8th homer of the year in AAA already, 420!!! feet, 114 mph exit velocity. At a certain point they have to accept garcia is a sunk cost and just move him to the bench, get hampson off the roster for burdick and let burdick and sanchez platoon in RF with garcia off the bench every day. They cant keep having this. He's not even close.

i'm sure he will get a look at some point if any of the infielders go down. RF is the bigger issue at this point with how terrible garcia is. Send down hampson and bring up burdick. Or put Garcia on the IL with a bullshit injury and let him get some time off and a rehab stint to figure things out. He cant continue to play every day. Eventually the top of the order will cool off and we will need DLC and whoever is in RF to pick up some of the slack along with segura regressing to the mean in the bottom of the order.

The issue with hinojosa is that he isnt on the 40 man so if an infielder does in fact go down, you would think it would be groshans to come up. If an outfielder goes down it will be burdick. All he can continue to do though is continue to rake and he will force them to call him up if he keeps it up.

that sucks for rogers, i was just going to say that he looks so much better than last year. Apparently it's a lower back or hip thing which isnt great, but better than some sort of arm injury i guess. his velocity was apparently lower than it has ever been in his career so clearly something was wrong.
