absolutely, I don’t think Cooper is injury prone as much as he is just ridiculously unlucky. Luckily he seems fine. He was also out by a mile but they already used their challenge

That was huge by chargois. Him and Edwards for essentially nothing is going to look like a really good move.

jazz and segura are killing is tonight with bad AB’s in big spots. We’re hitting the shit out of the ball tonight, just a lot of bad luck on hard hit balls and just plain bad at bats in crucial situations

If chargois gets through this inning unscathed I’d go puk for the 8th and 9th. Definitely the 9th though as the top of their order comes up and nimmo and Lindor are lefties

            Chargois looked good.

Huge inning and a third for chargois. They desperately need to get another run or 2 of breathing room here. Feels like sooner or later this is not going to end well, especially with the heart of their order due up in the 9th

Soler looks really good. Good win, too many guys left on base but it’s a win. Big homer for jazz that was needed. Luzardo was great, chargois saved the day, arraez is tremendous. 1-1

Luzardo looked great and I agree with the broadcast, didn’t feel like he walked 4. Felt in command all game until the very end.

Yes, only game 2, but Jazz looked lost until that homer, and that was a great pitch for him to drive. Hopefully that locks him in.

                      Soler looks great.

I’m willing to bet Cooper is on the IL by next week. He’ll “aggravate” the fingers in a few days on a swing, then go on the IL “as a precaution,” then stay there for a month.

So is this where the posting is going to be for the season now?

Cronenworth is getting an extension now too in addition to it looks like Reynolds may finally get it done. Seems ripe timing for Jazz, Arraez, and Luzardo to try and knock out now before it would become a distraction. It would be nice to see something here.

Fangraphs also moved Nardi up to a FV40 - "Solid second LHP out of ‘pen". They don't really give high grades to RP prospects, so it's topically a nice compliment. They have Reynolds at that grade too and they are next-best after the obvious (Eury, Eder, Meyer, Fulton, Sixto, and Miller). Enright, Millbrandt, and everyone else is a FV35+.

Just mentioning. They went from having one of the worst lefty situations for years to one of the best in baseball very quickly. Luzardo, Rogers, Garrett, Puk, Eder, Fulton, Scott, Okert, Nardi, Reynolds, and Simpson is very deep. Great stuff here even if there are other failures. And that's without Vesia. Floro has actually been better so far (2.2 WAR for the Marlins), but Vesia has been no slouch (1.7) and he is cheaper/more control years. This may be the year he makes them pay, but at least the Marlins didn't get killed.

They really need a Puk and Nardi to emerge from the right handers. I assume this would be Sixto and Enright if they get healthy by this summer. Sandy, Eury, Cabrera, Meyer, Chargois, Miller, and Bender pretty much cancel out against the lefty depth chart besides those two. We can hope.

Just stopping by to say I'm a little sad to not see an April fool's news article posted here this year.

Loving Soler so far. If he wants to have one of his good years this year, we could be ready to over achieve.

Feels like this year for Cabrera is going to be like the year before sandy truly broke out which was 2019. Great stuff, but not efficient with the pitch counts and too many walks. Still very effective over the year, but clearly not the finished product yet
