Infielder Sean Rodriguez and the Miami Marlins are in agreement on a minor league deal, a source tells ESPN. Rodriguez, 34, played every position last year for the Phillies except catcher -- and even had 1.1 scoreless innings as a pitcher. Good potential fit as a utility guy.

He's good platoon guy for that. It makes me think someone is on the way out as he makes sense with Joyce for a platoon, and offers more positional versatility.
This may be where TJ says they are shopping Cooper.

Astros have made an offer to Hunter Pence. The 37-year-old absolutely clobbered the ball in 318 PA for Texas last year. He had a higher OPS than any Marlin.
With a crazy swing and wacky throwing motion, he's a favorite with the crowd (and also teammates). Paired with Joyce in RF or Dickerson in LF, he could help ticket sales, not to mention the team offense.Last edited by Lee Stone; 02-04-2020, 02:59 PM.
