I think Trammell falls into the, he's so good fuck it, category

If he's that good, I'm cool with it. I've been in the "go for the elite guy crowd" the whole time, so if he's that, I'm good. If that's the return, it will be interesting to see how his career compares to Robles moving forward considering they turned that deal down, and he might have been more elite.

i think im with you on this. obviously you need 3 of's and not all of the guys will pan out but at some point you gotta address other long term needs

Trammell, Downs, Barnhart, and a prospect is a pretty good offer, although there's no real elite MLB ready talent there. Barnhart is a decent C on a good contract and Trammell is a top 20 type guy. I don't know if the names are as exciting as other offers, but that may just be because I haven't followed the Reds system very closely.

im fine with barnhart as a guy, im just saying dont add him to a deal and try to act like hes a major piece. as a throw in because they dont need him with jt there thats fine.
