First off Frisaro is the WORST Beat Guy in the game and probably would get scooped on his own kids births or something

They do want Sixto(Hope they got his medicals cleared) and Alfaro in any deal but would want more like Nick Williams or Adam Haseley(OF) and a low level prospect

He said they wanna get something done by Sat which is half true. They want to but aren't gonna push it,still NO "deadline"

However got 1 thing right-they wanna sign at least 1 RP and probably 2/3. Looking at Bud Smith/Warren/AJ

Philly is NOT in the lead or anything however. Cincy/SD/Philly ALL still in and Miami is hoping that Atlanta panics now and talks Ian Anderson

Exactly. If SD or Philly signed either of them yet they would up offer for JT because #1 they wanna compete and #2 Harper wants to play with JT

Fear for both of them is they pay up for JT and miss on them both then JT leaves in 2 years

plus, ive heard concerns about aspects of jt's defense (pitch framing) which might be hampering his value league wide.

Not a huge fan of the phillies system compared to the other teams we are dealing with but if it involves sixto and another upper echelon guy plus a replacement catcher for alfaro id be into it i think. one thing i would be interested to find out about the marlins fanbase is their reaction in the almost completely unlikely to happen scenario where we deal JT and maybe another contract like Chen or prado to get a little lesser return for JT in order to sign a guy like Machado. We will never do that and we should have the money to just sign him outright without giving up value for JT, but i wonder how that maneuver would go over with the 37 fans in the fanbase.

I can't see us taking worse prospects to move any of those contracts.

if im the marlins id offer jt, conley, and maybe a guy like straily or something for sixto, alfaro, nick williams, and luis garcia. Williams supposedly sucks on defense in the OF but i wonder if he could have a higher value being the guy to move to 1b for us out of the OF options we have

in a vacuum i would hate dumping money on an already cheap team but there would be circumstances where it would make sense. unfortunately the marlins as of right now dont appear to be in the circumstance where that would make sense. maybe if we were anther year into the rebuild like we will be next year, but as of now its not worth it

Mentioned cause some talk that Philly would take Prado or Castro in deal and include Franco or Kingery. Doubtful we talk "worse" prospects

Deal options I have heard are

Sixto/Alfaro/Nick Williams/low level
Medina/Alfaro/Another 4-8 guy/Nick Williams/low level
Sixto or Medina/Alfaro/Franco or Kingery for JT/Prado or Castro(assuming if position for position)

This seems to fly directly in the face of the report that we're willing to take on bad contracts to potentially get some additional prospects.

sixto, alfaro, nick williams, and garcia would be a phenomenal package if we could pull it off. garcia is the type of young, unheralded but talented prospect that smart teams go after before they blow up in the lower minors. Similar to what the rays did trading price and waiting years for adames to develop.

Doubt Garcia-Philly has 4/5 MIF in AA/Hi A. Likely 1 of them. Gonna say if its Philly the OF/other prospect will depend on if its Sixto or Medina
