the left part above the bullpen. I mean it doesn't really matter because you can move around the ballpark. I just choose this section because I have a group that I play pick up games every sunday that seat over there.

Miami wants Riley AND Ian Anderson
- - - - - - - - - -
Atlanta/Houston/Cincy/TB/SD are all still in on JT
TB,Cincy only 1 guy away(TB-Sanchez Cincy-Senzel,India,Greene with Trammell)
Houston-Tucker is in deal they are still fighting over Pitchers in deal with Miami wanting Martin/Perez/James and Houston offering JB/Javier type
SD-Still talking but SD has about 5 deals with other teams too with same prospects
LAD can jump in anytime with an offer of Bellinger OR Verdugo/Ruiz/Jeter Downs and get a deal done quick
Miami is in NO rush with the thought being JT market will be the same in March and even better once FA sign-they are sticking to guns and price is still high
If we can get Riley, anderson, and any 3rd piece we really need to jump on it. Enciarte is a nice player with a nice contract if i recall but we have OF talent and if the choice is between Inciarte and another prospect or 2 it should be a prospect every time. Also, dont worry about BA playing 3b longterm if we get riley cause if anderson is good enough we will find a spot for him given he's played 3b, 2b, and OF in his career and likely could play 1b lognterm too. I doubt if we get Anderson we would get touki. It would likely be one of their other non elite SP's like maybe Wilson or I could see buying low on Gohara after his bad year off the field last year.
If Tucker is involved from Houston then it also should only be a matter of time. Both teams have tons of pitching depth and this hassle over the lesser prospects shouldnt be this big of an issue. That goes for pretty much every team involved in this market cause the rays might have the best system of them all.Last edited by fish16; 01-09-2019, 08:57 PM.

Same goes for the Astros.

And if you are the Astros (or another team), maybe you jump in and make your move for JT now knowing that the Dodgers are about to get involved.

Think big. Let’s face it, the Rays’ top 30 prospects are a vastly better group than the Marlin 25-man roster. J. Sanchez, Fox, Brujan, R Hernandez, B and J Lowe, etc. would all be wonderful additions to the Marlins while being somewhat blocked in Tampa Bay. So … why not a megadeal? Urena would become a dandy and durable #3 starter for the Rays. He was brilliant esp. over the last month in 2018. And he’s cheap and controllable for three years. Same goes for Adam Conley. Realmuto is five-tool fantastic. Proposal: Marlin three for TB six. In 2020, Marlins have a new team to take the field with Brian Anderson. Fox and Brujan are the dynamic keystone combo. Sanchez, B Lowe, and J Lowe man the OF. Slugging Hernandez behind the plate. Why shouldn't this happen? Why couldn't it happen? Suddenly it would be easy to be a Marlin fan.

MLB has a real problem with the way free agency has been going in recent years and the lack of desire for teams to ever sign guys after they are no longer under team control. The next CBA should be very interesting and i really hope they address the ways teams can maneuver service time and address the obvious benefits to teams to keep guys down for way too long. idk what the answer is there but they need to change the incentives teams look at when deciding whether to bring guys up or down.

Urena makes no sense for the marlins to trade yet. Earliest would be trade deadline depending on development of other starters and his value but most likely time would be next offseason.
It's annoying as hell to wait, but given the teams in the mix for JT and their farm systems being great (Braves, Rays, Astros, Dodgers) the long awaited deal should be great value.

Ideal package from each team (not what i think is likely to happen and could also include Straily/Steck/Conley)
Astros- Tucker, Martin/other similar SP/maybe Nova?, Stubbs
Rays- Sanchez, Liberatore/Mclanahan, Hernandez
Braves- Anderson/Wright, Riley, other lesser SP like Gohara/Wentz/Allard/Wilson, and then maybe the catching prospect if we add someone else
Dodgers- Verdugo, Ruiz/Smith, 3rd guy like Lux or a SP

Exactly if u are Atlanta/Houston/LAD/Oakland and u wanna go to the WS u need an upgrade and there is NONE on the market beside JT/Cervelli
