Holy shit. The Marlins are a bottom third team in the league, if not bottom 5, and you're talking about them trading one of their top 5 prospects, universally considered top 50-75, for other prospects. This is not what rebuilding teams do. They don't trade prospects for prospects.

Teams contending like the Nationals trade such prospects, for guys who can help RIGHT NOW. Guzman is not a throw in to these kind of deals. Please refer to all deadline deals in perpetuity. Are you seriously equating these things?

Also throw enough shit at the wall (Galloway, Meyer, A. Beltre, Pablo, Richards) and something is going to stick. We're all super happy about Richards. Don't give yourself a pat on the back where all of us could have predicted "1 or 2 of the 10 fringe SP prospects they have will work out."

Shit at the wall? Add Caleb Smith and Jeff Brigham to that. Beltre has been hurt all year. Pablo Lopez is going to be excellent. Meyer ran into a wall at AAA. And Galloway is indeed a journeyman who is a hell of a lot more productive than Mags Sierra.
