Because he’s not good. There’s a difference between buying low on an established major leaguer and a prospect. He’s had very little success ever in the minors. Also, as I’ve stated, barraclough should Be used to get quality in a trade not quantity. Capitalize after his good first half and get a long term starting bat

He seems like a lot of arms we already have in the system that are high ceiling and low floor. We desperately need bats in the system and getting a long term every day bat for one good barraclough first half would be an enormous win

Don't think Barraclough nets anywhere near an everyday bat. I'd still be pushing the idea of packaging him with Realmuto and Straily in an effort to get potential star material from Washington. Hopefully, Straily makes a strong case for himself tonight.

I legitimately do not understand the love for Monte Harrison. This isn't just a Marlins thing either. He wasn't even a Brewers top prospect heading into 2017 and yet he jumps onto the MLB top 100 after a good but not great season?

I understand he is supposed to be some great defensive outfielder. But those are not that uncommon. The problem is his bat is horrid. He has OK power and thats it.

I think he impressed a ton a people in the AFL last off-season. Also, it's worth noting that he's a very effective base-stealer. That being said obviously his whole swing needs re-tooled because in an era where strikeouts are going through the roof his strikeout #'s are still shockingly high.

I actually thought he was someone else just based off the name but holiday will still get dealt to a contender who needs a decent backup catcher. Just like Ellis should have been dealt last year. Not sure why you continue to need to harp on the point that we all understand you to have about holidays value. Veteran backup catchers can get you a fringe prospect. No one is claiming that we will get anything of significant value for him
