Dietrich needs to be gone as well and im getting concerned that inevitably they wont be trading 7 guys in one day tomorrow so a few of these deals will fall thru just because of how many guys they have put off until the last minute. We'll see though maybe they combine some of these guys.

Yankees just acquired more IFA money this time from Seattle. Honestly don't think the Marlins are going to get Victor Victor. Looking like the Yankees may be making a run at him now.

I think the over/under is 4.5 from the 25 man roster. I can't see Barraclough, Ziegler, and Dietrich not being moved, and at least one of Realmuto, Straily, Conley, Steckenrider, even Castro, have had enough rumblings one will get moved.

Maybe I'm very wrong though.

Ya the dietrich thing to me is the most concerning cause he should have some very solid value due to his cost controlled years ahead as well as the fact that hes been good this year so he should be attractive to not only contenders but also mid market teams like the Indians and Brewers.

Im hoping that at the very least Dietrich, Ziegler, and Barraclough are gone. That would be required for me. Everyone else it depends on the price, but those guys need to be dealt at their highest value.

Honestly the fact that we are even looking at getting a return for Ziegler is kind of a minor miracle.

Maybe they will keep all the relievers and try for the super pen next year. Barraclough, Steckenrider, Guzman, Alcantara, Conley, Rucinski, and Wittgren. Championship next season.

or they just have a price they are asking for guys and arent willing to budge from. Im not disagreeing with you though that if we are not too active at the deadline that it will be a major failure. Specifically the relievers (Barraclough and Ziegler especially as I think a reasonable argument can be made for keeping Steck and Conley)

Not dealing Barraclough would be a huge missed opportunity in my mind. Maybe he's blown that opportunity himself with his recent performance, but man about a month ago, I was really liking the chances of us getting impact position prospects for him, which is exactly what this club needs to be doing at this point. Jumping on opportunities to maximize value in trades.
