They do exactly what anyone here could do. Write post game interviews, the numbers etc. They never report any new stories, anything insightful.

    • Notice what Justin Bour is doing at the plate? He must have taken note of the huge Carlos Santana contract and focused on OBP. Suddenly very patient at the plate, drawing walks like crazy.

        • I continue to love putting your best defensive player at 1st base.

          • Offensively this may be the worst Marlins team ever......it's putrid. How's that Project Wolverine going Derek ? It's a fraud to charge customers $$ to watch this team. Lowe the prices more in line with a AAA franchise, because that is the quality of team that is playing in Marlins Park reasonably compars too.

            • Need to send brinson down already. Also get this rivera guy off the team already, and same with cloyd. Not making huge differences regardless, but rivera and cloyd are not major league players.

But that was because of service time only. You made that quite clear.

ummm how could you have been that prescient to know they were going to start him LOL....this is about him being sent down and it's because not service time, but because he's not ready/a bust.

didnt really make any sense, but solid response. About what i expect from you at this point. You said I wanted him sent down because of service time. I did, but also because he clearly wasnt ready, as i said before in that spring training thread. It was obvious from his spring stats. Like i clearly stated in those posts.

this has to do with service time too. its always been because he isnt ML ready and it is criminal to have him up here rather than sending him down for 6 weeks to get the extra year.

                          • Levels of disappointment at the first quarter mark. Huge: Dietrich on pace for a season of a dozen walks and 140 whiffs. We didn't quite see that coming. Brinson, of course. Big: Steckenrider's recent fall. Straily's slow start ... and Chen's ... and Tazawa's. Hopes for ridding them from the roster via any trades have faded from dim to black. Significant: Contributions from reserves. Wallach, Telis, B. Lee, Shuck and Rivera.

Aside from Dietrich, Steckenrider, and Straily, I have a hard time putting anything on your list in the "disappointing" category at all, as that implies that you had expectations from them to begin with.

-Brinson is self explanatory - he shouldn't have been here in the first place, even if for service time reasons alone (production aside).
-Chen has barely pitched at all the last two years, and is nearing his limit and season ending injuring this year.
-Tazawa wasn't good last year, nobody expected him to be this year. Better, perhaps, but didn't expect much.
-To expect much out of that terrible group of reserves is stupid, I can't count them as disappointments, as they shouldn't be here either.
