It appears everyone seems to be having the same problem telling the voice of Severino and Hollandsworth apart. I know they did some practice games so i wonder if the team just didnt notice or thought it would work itself out. I dont see how they continue to be a partnership long term though if it continues because it truly is hard to figure out who is talking most of the time.

A) Personally, I don't really care which announcer is talking, telling me the Marlins are a gritty, never-say-die bunch - although it turns out that it's everybody from Derek Jeter to Freddy the Marlin.
B) Two off days this week (Wednes and Fri). I'd send Despaigne to the pen, where he belongs, and skip his spot. Actually, I'd give his spot to Garcia in any case.
C) Cubs are three innings away from being shut out again.Last edited by Lee Stone; 04-02-2018, 05:59 PM.

The Marlins plan to change how they count attendance. And it might not benefit them
BY CLARK SPENCER
It remains to be seen whether fewer fans show up this season at Marlins Park if the team struggles, as most expect.
But, whether that proves to be the case, official crowd figures announced by the team are expected to plummet significantly — or at least come closer to reality.
The reason: a Marlins spokesman said Thursday that the Marlins will only count actual tickets sold in their attendance calculations.
The Marlins ranked 27th in the Majors last season with a total home attendance of 1.6 million. That averages out to about 20,000 a game, which was rarely the case based on visual evidence.
The Miami Herald reported in January that the actual number of paid tickets was about 820,000.
That figure would have ranked last in the Majors last season, well behind Tampa Bay’s final count of 1.2 million.
2 pretty bad whiffs by the ump on fastballs on the inside corner at the knee to lefties. i don't know why we stopped using pitch fx of any type this year.

Encouraging start for Richards but couldnt finish like he needed to. Might have to be a reliever full time just because he's lacking one more pitch but still encouraging to see how he started the game. Earned at least one more trip in the rotation.
