As for #13 pick. Of course they could be a #1 but I mean according to scouts. Scouts have Kowar/Gilbert as #2/3 type.

But u are right scouts also think Jorge Guzman will become a closer. FO is keeping him as a SP right now

FYI after seeing the Jupiter roster I love what Denbo is doing in the minors
In terms of what? Progressing guys aggressively? Because if so I completely agree. I was so sick of seeing how conservative we'e been with guys for so long, specifically pitchers. The innings limits instead of pitch limits really has bugged me for so long. I understand the warming up and cooling down so often but it has done nothing but yielded prospect after prospect who needs TJ.

Anyone know why we're starting Tuesday's game at 6:10 instead of 7:10. Would be going to see Sale if it started normally but cant get to the stadium in time for a 6:!0 game.

Again anything can happen. I am just saying what the scouts are saying

        #1 types-Singer/Mize/Rolison/McClanahan/Hankins/Liberatore
        #2/3 types-Gilbert/Kowar/Denaberg/Stewart/Rocker

Any of the #2/3 types can become #1 especially the HS which is why alot of teams draft HS arms.

Old regime loved drafting guys based on what they could be. Jose,Chad James,Allison,Volstad,Rogers all HS guys who we took instead of college arms

Ya being aggressive in promotions and putting 23 yr olds in High A. In years past guys drafted the year before would be in GBoro no matter what-this year we have atleast 4 who were 2017 draftees. Still a few 25 yr olds but they are more depth guys. Test the guys and if they pass move them up-don't just keep them looking great

        • How about dropping Bour in the lineup until he shows a glimmer? I was glad to see Anderson fourth yesterday and he came through.

Bour will be fine give him a couple weeks. He's been straight up awful in spring for 3 straight years now and he has a pretty big body regardless so it honestly might just be that he doesnt keep his shit up well enough in the offseason and it takes him a few weeks to get into shape.

But he reportedly spent the whole offseason on an exercise regimen and lost 20+ pounds. Right now, he'd do less damage hitting sixth or seventh.

Excellent Spencer article on Richards. I'll look forward to seeing that changeup. Changeup seems to be the most important pitch in modern baseball. https://twitter.com/clarkspencer/sta...00866029621249

But we've seen his swing when it's right. He's struggling.

                  • Lineup spot is one of the most overrated things in baseball. If he matches what he did last season this year he's the best hitter on the team. You don't send your best hitter on the team way down the lineup because he's had 3 bad games.

                    • just wanted to let y'all know that Kowar will end up being a fast-moving ace and if he's there when we draft and we pass on him I'll be my usual livid self on draft day

                      • RHP Severino DFA for Richards

Still have Needy,3 Catchers and Chen on 40 man(3 spots possible)

Same here unless Nick Madrigal or another Top College Arm is there at #13 he should be our pick

Bour bats 5th tonight and Holaday C. Like said Mattingly hates Telis as a C

Also Richards is #63. Are all of our arms #50 or up?

I was wondering why Peters didnt swtich his number coming into this year. I understand last year coming up in september but i figured hed get a normal number now that he's up here pretty much to stay.

Doesnt change anything regardless, just might be a good move as far as keeping the jokes from continuing to pour in nightly.
Are they reporting it differently this year? What are they reporting gate attendance (number of tickets scanned to get in) as opposed to paid attendance (whether you show up or not)?
