you had hope that we would be able to trade him? I thought he might be a little different and at least be a competent major leaguer at this point, but we were never going to be able to trade him until the last year of his deal at the earliest because of his contract and injury history.

no one under any circumstance was doing that until maybe the deadline of the final year of his contract, and thats in the best case scenario. chen is a sunk cost.

Chen should be moved to the bullpen for 2-3 inning bursts. Always thought that was the way to go with him coming back.

An incredibly poor man's Andrew Miller or Josh Hader, that is somehow paid a lot more money.

I just watched all HR that Rojas hit in his career nothing has changed mechanically. Same toe tap, same extension. Anyone has any ideias? Change in approach? Pulling the ball more?

Worst thing about being old and retired is being available to watch a weekday Marlin game. Martin Prado. $13.5 M this season. $15 M next. Gut-wrenching. Worse than Chen because the pitcher only reminds us every fifth day. One of the truly inexplicable contracts of all time.

considering his OBP is a lot lower thus far this year and he has the same amount of hr's this year that he had combined in his entire career he probably just tried to play more like a 2018 baseball player and sacrificed some OBP for more power.

merandy with 7 k's in 3 innings today, but i really wish they would let him do it in the minors and then call him up maybe later in the year. its a waste of his talent to not let him be developing in the minors.

He's walking a tiny bit less down 3% from last year, but his BAbip is down from .324 to .239. So that's the biggest difference. He's getting less hits because he's unlucky this year. His exit velocity is higher and hard hit percentage too. So I really don't know what's the difference
