The trades they make will not make the team better this year and quite possibly next either. That is Jeters plan....just as the Astros and Cubs have done, and as the Phillies and Braves seemingly have done. I just won't believe the Marlins can do it. They have a history of NOT doing it. They have history of Brinson's throughout their history. (Allison, Hermida, Skipworth, Volstad, Booty, Jaime Jones, the whole 2005 1st round with 4 complete flops and Volstad, etc....) It's waaaaaaay more miss than hit. Whether trades or draft picks the Marlins have had HORRIBLE talent evaluation over all.

Man there is no shot we can get soto anymore. Its absurd how fast they have moved him through the system this year and its not at all unreasonable given how good he is. I wonder if we have a shot at Robles instead of him now or if they just try to add elsewhere to their pitching considering they are also getting Murphy back from injury eventually as well as Robles coming back soon enough. They will probably settle for a lesser catching addition instead of JT.

Gonna have to start looking at other teams for JT. Minnesota is intriguing but id really want a power bat back for JT. Nick Gordon wouldnt be the end of the world though id prefer a much higher ceiling guy even tho he's got a pretty damn high floor. I want no part of the Mets system. Maybe the braves would be willing to deal from their pitching surplus and a guy like Riley and Pache or something?

Ive yet to see him pitch live as i hadnt watched any of his previous games and just tuned in now to tonights game, but statistically Hernandez has looked like he has more than held his own thus far.

And NO OTHER fanbase can now be considered the most abused than the Marlins fans. My moaning, groaning, and trolling is a direct result of the teams colossal failures in the ownership, front office and on the field performance. 6 winning seasons in 25 years, soon to be 26 and in all likelyhood 27 years of team play. Not even the Cubs fans endured that kind of frustration. Only the Mariners fans have had to endure a longer post-season drought than Fish Fans, and Pirates fans more losing seasons than the Fish Fans have.

I think Conley has a chance to be much more effective out of the bullpen. Lets see if he can do it. Would be nice if he can become a hard throwing lefty out of the pen who can go multiple innings.
