We claimed Matt Moore off of Waivers. Not post season eligible.

A good move to pitch him into the ground. With the off days, they can probably get 8+ appearances out of him which is pretty crazy to think Matt Moore may really pitch an entire game the last 12 games of the season on an all hands on deck bullpen approach.

I also think he is interesting as they *could* offer him say 1/$6 and extend him for next year, and run out Scott, Nardi, and Moore, and then use Puk and Okert (who will collectively cost over $3m as both hit 1st arb) to trade a similar right hander and then as a throw-in for a better bat. Something to think about if Moore doesn't pull a Robertson.

joey wendle has a .386 OPS in 137 PA's in the second half. He has started 38 of the 58 games in the second half, and he has played in 51 of the games. What the fuck are we doing? If we want defense, why not just play berti? If we want a little offensive spark, why not play hampson? There is no argument for wendle to play even against a righty. he cant hit.
