Our team ERA since the all star break is 4.73. Pre all star break was 4.06. Whip pre all star break was 1.26. Post all star break it's 1.35. It's almost like sending down one of the best pitchers in baseball for monetary reasons really puts a lot of pressure on the rest of your team.

going off of baseball references WAR stat, Eury has the 4th highest WAR on the team behind only Arraez, Luzardo, and Sandy despite only pitching 11 games. 6 of the top 7 WAR per baseball reference are pitchers.

this is an enormous week. 6 games against 2 struggling teams, and we have the SP advantage in almost every one. Need at least 4 out of 6 incredibly badly. If they have another bad week, they will fall out of the race entirely before the end of august.

Might be time to admit that the team just isn’t that good and the 1st half was a fluke.

Funny thing is they sent him down with the bullshit excuse that it would be unfair to the bullpen to limit him to 5 innings, and he is now 100% going to be innings limited his first few starts because he isn’t built back up yet

Let me guess, now that he went from elite in the 1st and 2nd inning to getting rocked in the 3rd and 4th, now you’ll say he’s getting rocked because the Marlins sent him to the minors?
