every time eury pitches and we dont take advantage and win it feels like multiple losses in one given his innings limit. We need 1-2 more bats, edwards being one of them, and a righty set up guy. Floro has not been good this year, i dont trust scott, and if you look at Okert's BABIP he is due for a regression soon.

Their 8th xFIP reliever this year is Chargois with a x3.93 and their 5th SP xFIP is insanely Sandy with a x4.27. That is great. You can easily say the entire pitching staff is under achieving with what Sandy, Rogers, and Cueto have contributed and the RP will balance themselves out.
Segura, Stallings, Cooper, Garcia, Hampson, and Yuli have around 950 PA and a negative 1.6 WAR. If you take out Segura, it does move to 725 PA and a negative .5 WAR as he has been especially bad. This is outrageous for a "contender" over basically their entire bench and starting slot or two daily. You can't move Segura for his contract/pedigree over years, but they can move him to the bench and let him play against just lefties until he course corrects (if ever). And get rid of everyone else.
Fortes, _____
Arraez
Berti, Segura
Amaya
Wendle
DLC, Soler
Jazz, Edwards --- > Davis Jazz injury replacement
Sanchez
13th bat __________
I think we all agree they should do this and that big bat can literally be anywhere (likely an infielder as Amaya is no sure thing and Berti can play some LF) and E. Diaz is good enough to form a platoon with Fortes (who is on a 2.5+ WAR pace all of a sudden). This should be done *now* and if Amaya or Edwards scuffle, you have until the end of July to do another move. Like Robles/Grichuk/Laureano.
That would give them a fighting chance. I'm done with Stallings, Cooper, Garcia, Hampson, and Yuli, but I imagine they give Cooper and Garcia a bit of a longer leash to see if they do hit to their career LHP marks and they make a few dollars. Problem is, they need these moves now and not just lose 8 of 10 and then think oh we do need moves. Because that is coming absent improvements because they really cannot hit. It's infuriating.

Cardinals have won 4 in a row. Really only 4 sellers right now, so trade market has to be tough.
Seems to be a product of the new scheduling. Either you have divisions where 4 of the 5 or all 5 teams are good, or you have divisions where all the teams are bad. So the divisions are all fairly close, which I guess is a win for MLB. Tough to make a trade, though.

I think we all agree though, Xavier Edwards and his speed and on-base ability would be a welcome addition. Hit him 9th in front of Arraez and let him wreak havoc on the bases while Arraez is up, open up even more holes for him.
