    Lyles $17
    Greinke $8.5
    Keller $5.75
Barlow $5.3 (controlled next year arb3)
    Chapman $3.75
    N. Lopez $3.7 (controlled arb 3 and 4 next year, a super 2)

    Garcia is $41m
    Barnes roughly $4.75m
    Cooper $4.2
    Stallings $3.3
    =$53m

Maybe you pitch something like this as a variation of Nick's idea:

    Perez, Lyles, Greinke ($85.5m)

Garcia, Barnes Cooper, Stallings ($53m) and Fulton/Monteverde, Mack, Miller/Millbrandt, N. Nunez, and Sixto/I. Lewis
Why bother including Lyle, Barnes, Cooper and Stallings in that deal? KC doesn't want those 3 guys, and after they cancel each other out KC is only saving like $5 million.

    • fulton had an update on his status yesterday. Being evaluated for an arm injury still. Given he's been out for a month he wont be back any time soon. Other than Eury, it's been somewhat of a trainwreck of a year for the top prospects. Top 11 prospects according to mlb have all been bad or injured outside of Eury, Miller, Amaya. Meyer, Eder, Fulton, Sixto all injured. Berry stinks, Mack has been bad, Cappe has been bad, and Groshans has been bad.

The only real positives in the entire organization have been VMJR, Xavier Edwards, Nasim nunez hasnt been a trainwreck offensively, and monteverde has put up good numbers. That and the relievers on the bottom end of the top 30 have been solid. Soriano proved he belongs at the ML level, Reynolds looks like he will be a back end of the bullpen option eventually, and Fitterer looks to be putting it together a little. Complete crap out of the rest of the group

      • How could Anthony Maldonado be any better? Hoeing looks to have potential. Eder is about to return to form. Monteverde could kick back into gear after a brilliant start of the season. Mesa Jr. and Nunez have dimmed in my view, but Edwards is far better than I expected.

do you ever get tired of bouncing wildly back and forth based on limited samples?

            Just throwing things out there.

$5m bucks is still $5m bucks. Maybe they just take Cooper there and not the other deadweight and hope Cooper hits until July 30th to move for a FV40, etc.

I'd like to think Perez wants to play for a trophy if he is part of a multi-move Marlins going for it 23-25 range.

I mean the farm is generally not bad news even if it isn't good news.

                Great - Eury

Good - Edwards looks to be better than expected, Mesa Jr. and Nunez are still hanging in there with huge defensive backup projections, good international updates with Vargas (maybe is the next out of nowhere explosion of a prospect?), Sanoja, Janero Miller, R. Hernandez. A whole slew of new FV40 arms led by Monteverde and a half dozen right handers which includes Maldonado and Hoeing, and a slew of potential FV35+ or inventory arms with others still exist. This is a great bullpen projection for years and solid throw in 2nd/3rd/4th guys in larger bat moves.

Leans Good - Eder and Meyer (haven't gotten seriously more hurt), Watson (has head on straight and walking at a young age)

Neutral - Cappe (SSS if anything and got good write ups. Just going to take awhile), Amaya (as advertised so not good or bad), Jacob Miller and Millbrandt still solid FV40s even with major reliever risk

Leans Bad - Mack, Berry, but small sample sizes. Peguero and Gerardo lowered a little but are still 18 so is it bad?

Potentially Bad - A major Fulton injury

Bad - Groshans, I. Lewis, Burdick, and Morisette have fallen off their projections. Where is Sixto. McIntosh/Banfield got no love in scouting reports.

I mean the 6 bolded guys are disappointing so we could focus on that, but Eury taking a step forward, no bad news on Eder and Meyer, and getting a lot of encouraging news on future bench and backup bullpen is good.

They do need Berry and Mack to pick it up and lets hope Fulton isn't hurt, but I'm not annoyed or happy here. This is fine but they must draft better bats starting this year.

                • Gurriel 1 for 18 career against Lyles and he’s batting cleanup

Yes but he didn’t exactly earn any playing time until Garcia went down. I was resigned to him about to be dfa’d in late April and honestly would have been fine with it at that point

He was never going to hit playing as little as he was. He had 29 ABs in the first 24 games, he had a .575 OPS. Game 25 he started getting consistent playing time and he's crushed the ball ever since.

                            • Did they say why Cabrera was pulled after only 65 pitches?
