The way they've handled the pitching staff is not like a team that's in a playoff race. How do you go to all that effort to improve the offense, and 1. not add another arm, and 2. go into a game with this type of gameplan for the pitching that we've seen today?

We literally had a reliever "take one for the team" in a game that we were winning when that reliever came. Don't think I've seen it, honestly.

We've had some painful losses during our cold streak, but this is by far the dumbest one. No reason to lose this game aside from a manager refusing to adjust his strategy. Very Mattingley-esque

For the first half of the year it really felt like he had his finger on the pulse of the bullpen, and since it has been completely bizarre managing

Smeltzer worked the other day too but that was a terrible decision as well in a game that wasn’t over

He struck out the side. He was brought up specifically for the Philly game for match up reasons. And it worked out wonderfully. You’re just mad you’re wrong about it.

Obviousky there were major coaching mistakes made today but please shut up about Smeltzer striking out the side. He was literally brought up and then sent down JUST for that match up.
