The season is officially slipping away. Improvements needed to come way sooner, I understand the market was tough, but it's just the reality. Ultimately the failings of the offseason just showed up a little later than expected.

Every single player we’ve played in the corner OF spots has a better OPS this year than Garcia’s OPS as a Marlin. Garcia’s OPS as a Marlin is like 5 points better than Lewis Brinson’s career OPS.

Obviously the player he's been thus far as a Marlin isn't good enough, but I don't think throwing him out there right now in the hopes that he can be closer to his career average, when the other corner OFers have been pretty bad lately is so terrible. Especially when you are facing a lefty. If he still sucks, put him back on the bench. If you improve the lineup via trade, put him back on the bench. But it's not like they sat anyone that's been hitting so that he could start today.

I mean Garcia has only had like 2 or 3 seasons where he wasn't replacement level or worse and one of those he had a BABIP of close to 400 for the year.
