There is no defense good enough to make stallings bat acceptable as n every day catcher. Said it before, the robo umps help not only the stupidity of middle aged men who suck at their job with no consequences for bad performance, but it will also make catchers who can hit more valuable which helps the game be more exciting. Nobody wants to see the Jeff Mathis and Jacob stallings of the world every day in a lineup

In an edition of stats that probably don't mean anything due to small sample sizes but are still interesting...

Rogers with Stallings:
8.06 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, OPP .318/.392/.624, 6.35 FIP in 20.1 IP

Rogers with Henry:
1.69 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, OPP .220/.277/.271, 2.9 FIP in 16 IP.

I dont know if there is some kind of disconnect between him and Stallings or if he is more comfortable with Henry. Henry does apparently call his own games on the fly which I don't think Stallings does.

But for now I think you have to put Henry behind the plate when Rogers starts.

Franchise history.....which is what I said.....13 AFC East titles (the Marlins have zero division titles), only one of two teams to appear in 3 Super Bowls in a row (the other is the Jills and they lost all 4 in a row) a 3-year record in 1971/72/73 of 36-5-1, and were 7-1 in playoff games, for an aggregate total of 43-6-1 with 2 Super Bowl wins in 3 appearances in a row. And of the 6 losses, 3 of them were within one TD. If you add 1970 & 1974 together with that win total they were 64-14-2 over a 5-year period.

Some of you here may be too young to remember just how dominant the Dolphins were in the early 1970s.

Kim Ng - they can't fire unless they wish to bring all the feminists down on them, who praised the Marlins' "courage" in hiring her. So she's staying put for at least 1 more year...maybe she's gone if nothing changes in 2023. Then they'd have justification as it would be considered "a fair shot"

I wasn't even remotely alive.....hell, my parents were only teenagers then. While sure it's great to tout the history of a franchise overall, the reality is, for a lot of people, the Dolphins have been largely irrelevant for most of if not all of their lives.
