Also, get henry the fuck off the roster and bring up fortes. there is 0 reason why he was not the backup catcher opening day. If you want Berti to play, bench rojas. stop benching your best players.

wow, there is a twitter account called ump scorecards and it rates the overall accuracy of the ump for each team and the overall favor in terms of runs those calls had on the game. The ump behind the plate last night made calls that resulted in a +2.28 runs expected in favor of the nationals. that might be the highest I've ever seen. he was horrific last night.

Yeah, it was atrociously bad the strike (ball) calls that were made against us, but didn't seem like the Marlins were getting the same calls.

I actually think Sanchez needed a day off, so I don't have a problem with him not playing today.

Quintana is the ultimate lee player.... and I also agree on this one. if he can be merely competent defensively his bat is clearly good enough to play at the major league level. anyone know what his story is? why was he only starting in the minors around age 30?

He's from Cuba I see. Defected, but not until he was older? That's a guess. I don't know.

Seems like I was on to something. Played in the Cuban League from 2008 to 2015. There was a 2-3 year period where he was seemingly out of baseball. I assume he defected somewhere in there.

I cant see hernandez making another start after this if he keeps getting lit up tonight and meyer's service time issues are out of the window other than super 2. This team can win now, he needs to be up here if hernandez is shit again tonight.

that was a stanton type bomb by soler. he's definitely started swinging the bat well the last week. the last few games he's been crushing balls and has been unlucky a lot

this has the be hernandez's last start. Also BA seems like he's back to what he was. Not as much power but he seems to be getting it back as the games go on. getting him back and a relatively quiet move for wendle really help. They should be getting the majority of the playing time at SS and 3b with rojas as the super utility guy
