pablo has a career high of 111 innings and has literally the same shoulder injury every year for like 4 years. the priority needs to be him making it through 162 games, not throwing 100 innings and leaving for 2 months. if he throws a sandy amount of innings, he's a top 10 starting pitcher in baseball, but if he doesn't he's just a guy you cant rely on. if the bullpen cant get through 3 more innings against this bad nats team (even with soto), we have bigger problems. not saying the additional inning would kill pablo, but get him through a full fucking season for once, however that must be done. no idea if doing this early in the year will accomplish that goal, but that's the ultimate goal here

christ almighty, this worked in the marlins favor, but the call on thomas for strike 1 was horrendous. its so unbelievably stupid for not only results but for the overall interest of the sport for every single broadcast to show what is a ball and what is legitimately a strike instantaneously after every pitch, while we have a middle aged man with shit vision judge whats a ball and a strike. it is killing this sport. I'm a diehard baseball fan, but it is so fucking bad. and so fucking unnecessary. the "tradition" of baseball is killing this sport. it is awful, and beyond easily correctable. it is so inexcusable. not that there was any reason to like the head of MLB, but this is so bad, and so fucking stupid as reasoning.

also, the switching of what baseballs and how they carry is so bad year to year. how the living fuck is this a professional sport that people watch daily. its such poor management of a sport. as if the lebatard interview wasn't enough that manfred is in over his head, but how they handle the fucking heart of the game on a year to year basis is a joke. its just so ridiculous. this MLB from t office is so ridiculously bad.
