654-1 in HD. The game being on a dashed channel is pretty common for early in the season.

    • Cooper again showing he can hit. If he can stay healthy his bat really is quality. Unfortunately his hands while batting have a gravitational pull to the baseball. But id really love lewin up here every day seeing what he has and aguilar, as bad as he's been, would be a nice bench bat. Worth 10 million? Obviously not. But that's a sunk cost at this point. It's a little annoying though that they couldn't see the writing on the wall and either dealt him for a flier prospect or non tendered him and reinvested that money. Cant hate him though. He and Rojas seem to be the vet leaders and heart of the team. If you have those 2 off the bench every night instead of guys like sierra and some of the other garbage they have held on too for far too long, it's ok. Not many teams have great benches. If you got rojas and Aguilar off the bench every night and aguilar can figure it out, you take it.

gotcha. I guess xfinity doesn't have a secondary hd channel unless I'm missing it.

This team seems to always get to .500 and then just cant get over the hump. I expect Pablo to have a blow up game tonight.

Also I agree with you get Lewin up here. Let Aguilar spot start and pinch hit. Lewin is a great defender. Let Coop DH.

agreed. If we could never let coop do anything other than swing a baseball bat and keep him in a bubble the other 23 hours of the day it would be ideal.

As far as getting to .500, a lot of times, especially last year, the last 2 spots in the rotation were so bad that it didn't allow them to put together wins in chunks to be able to get over .500. Even if you have 3 rock solid good pitchers like we did last year with rogers, sandy, and pablo, if you have 2 spots in the rotation who you cant count on, it makes it almost impossible to string together win streaks with this lineup. Thats still 40% of your games your trotting out a guy who shouldn't be in a rotation. I think, especially when Meyer gets up here and you have a real legit rotation with 5 guys who are at least mid rotation level that will change. It's one of the reasons I think they will be able to get to 87 wins. When you have a rotation this deep with high end talent (even if rogers has struggled and luzardo can have his blow ups and struggles with walks), even with an average at best lineup you have a real good chance at putting together consistent stretches of winning baseball.

unfortunately there is no technology available to make them irrelevant. If only!

                    • pablo's ERA down to .38. Not too shabby for a guy we got as a throw in in the David Phelps trade so many years ago. It's amazing how we see so many of those trades and how many of those guys come out to be nothing and how 1 guy can change so much. just an unbelievable find and a truly great pitcher. if he can last the whole season, he's a surefire extension guy, but we need to see it over the course of a full season first.

just a great pitcher when healthy though. pray for that shoulder holding up

                      • also another indicator that spring training stats are completely useless. lets finish this shit off and get over .500

                        • marlins need to take huge advantage of the 36 games we have vs the nats and Phillies this year. phils should be decent but we seem to own them and nats are clearly rebuilding and not close.

pablo has a career high of 111 innings and has literally the same shoulder injury every year for like 4 years. the priority needs to be him making it through 162 games, not throwing 100 innings and leaving for 2 months. if he throws a sandy amount of innings, he's a top 10 starting pitcher in baseball, but if he doesn't he's just a guy you cant rely on. if the bullpen cant get through 3 more innings against this bad nats team (even with soto), we have bigger problems. not saying the additional inning would kill pablo, but get him through a full fucking season for once, however that must be done. no idea if doing this early in the year will accomplish that goal, but that's the ultimate goal here

                              • i hate donnie and how he's handled jazz, but jazz seems to be a straight up bad fielder in big situations. if they blow this game against this bad team, we deserve it.
