i get trying to sneak 1 guy from the rule 5 draft in the bullpen for the entire year but given what we've seen so far its going to be really hard to keep both these guys Campbell and pop. they've been horrendous and it's not even the type of the horrendous where you can see quality stuff behind bad results in a small sample. they are getting hit incredibly hard.

I disagree with Campbell a bit.

He nibbles and falls behind and then has to put pitches in the hot zone.

I am not saying that he is a lights out BP arm but he could be a useful long guy if he would be more aggressive.

I just don't know how sustainable it is to have to hide 2 different guys in the bullpen for an entire year. they might have potential but that's asking a lot for a team that didn't seem to want to spend on the bullpen arms this offseason who might have made that possible

i stand by the statement that ronald acuna has never not annihilated a ball against us. What an absolute nightmare he and soto will be for the foreseeable future.

also, for the future, maybe we let jazz get some experience hitting lefties instead of babying a possible superstar to give jon fucking berti more at bats.

at this point id just walk acuna for the rest of his career. beats the alternative.

ROY candidates on our own team- Jazz, Rogers, Sixto, maybe bleday depending on when he comes up. Not only good rookies but legit good players right out of the gate and cheap and affordable for a small market team. exactly how you build a team in this market.

does anyone have any rational explanation for the corey Dickerson in the leadoff spot shit? The guy has been horrible OBP wise his entire career, and that's aided by 2 of his 3 best years by OBP being in Colorado. He is a decent stop gap OF but enough of the force-feeding him into the top of the lineup for no reason. Use Rojas full time and put Dickerson as a back of the lineup strength, not a top of the order OBP weakness.

so im gonna go ahead and declare that we won the ozuna trade. Got Jazz and Sandy and a 4th OF and 6th starter for 2 years of ozuna that we were going to suck anyways. And the more we see of the other young pitchers, the gallen for jazz deal looks better.

gave Ozuna who had one full year of production (instead of hot first halves and awful second halves) and 2 years away from free agency for 6 years of sandy and jazz each. that's an absolute steal.
