Now maybe stop switching that fucking guy out for fucking lefty lefty matchups and let the stud develop instead of getting 4 mediocre ab's from Berti. Let the kids have success and struggles. IT will be beneficial in the end. Cant ever expect jazz to succeed against lefties if you baby him from the start. Enough of the lefty lefty benchings and mid game double switches. If jazz doesn't lead this team in Ab's by the end of the year of come damn close we have done a disservice to our teams future

absolutely. if alfaro gets a hit here id be ecstatic but idk how you expect anything other than a flailing K here. Cooper is our best hitter and not putting him in here is even more mismanagement.

it is abundantly clear that alfaro has no clue what he is swinging at. he is praying he makes contact but there is no coherent strategy to his at bats.

dude enough of this fucking guy already. how much more all-around terrible play can we watch? he is the single biggest weak link on a legitimately good team. They need to make a move yesterday. His at-bats are horrendous. That was one of his better at-bats all year and he missed two straight pitches right down the middle. This cant go on the entire year. Cut bait already.

they had vision and recognized the SP strength and dealt gallen for Jazz, they have made a critical mistake by not realizing Alfaro is a lost cause behind the plate and not doing everything it takes to use the OF surplus to find at the very least a stop gap C for the next few years. IT is by far the biggest weak link in the entire organization.

floro has been really good along with yimi. Imagine if they paired these smart trades/free agent cheap deals with spending legit money on a proven reliever to supplement the SP's you know you're going to need to provide relief for after a pandemic shortened year. That will be the theme of the year. There was absolutely no reason they couldn't have shelled out another 5 million to shore up this bullpen rather than hiding 2 spots on rule 5 guys that you will avoid pitching all year. We can make the playoffs if the front office plays it right. By cowering out of a catcher upgrade they absolutely had to have known they needed and by trying to once again cheap together a bullpen of misfits that they think they will find magic with, they will cost us at least 5 wins this year at the savings of what, 5-10 million? That is the cost of 1 dynamite bullpen arm or 2 shutdown guys to supplement the rotation or a non albatross starting catcher.

I like to think I'm optimistic but also fair, and the rebuild has gone really well, but this past offseason with the amount of quality bargains available coming off the pandemic season, the lack of additions and optimism in hopeless guys like Alfaro and Wallach is absolutely, 100% inexcusable. It was obvious from the start and they deserve this result honestly.

Once this FO views Bleday as ready please for the love of god get rid of Dickerson. He is an incredibly average player who Mattingly insists on putting at the top of the rotation despite a career full of proven mediocre on base ability. I simply remain floored at the decisions Mattingly continues to make. He is simply a bad manager at every aspect other than a day to day presence that you can get from any kind of quality bench coach. All I ask from a manager is that they don't actively put the team in a position to fail and Mattingly consistently does at every aspect, including both starting lineup determination and in-game management. he is a truly horrendous lineup manager and his bullpen management has been bad from the second he started here. Bleday would be a huge plus when he is ready not only due to the fact that he will be a great middle of the lineup presence but also due to the fact that Matttingly will finally fucking stop trying to force Dickerson into the top of the lineup.

We deserve to lose this game. Just a complete mismanagement debacle from the end of last season to every single in game decision tonight.
