incredibly random but going back to 2017, first year after jose, on baseball reference our top 7 players in WAR were all hitters. tops in WAR among our pitchers was Urena with 1.7. is there any way to search how uncommon that is to have your best WAR pitcher be 8th among the entire team?

its as if he didn't learn to become a good in game manager all of a sudden after 5 years on the job. he's a phenomenal bench coach. as a manager making in game decisions, particularly with lineup construction and bullpen management he's awful. I don't think its a coincidence that we keep hearing Rowson's name pop up in the next manager conversation. getting rid of waltz and hutton was the worst move they ever made even though it was the previous regime I believe. Supposedly fox paid hutton and he asked for too much according to the always honest and forthcoming david samson but that combo felt like I was watching a marlins game. we are now 3 or 4 years into severino and Hollandsworth and it still feels not very personal or homer-lite like I want a home broadcast to be. this would be a pretty awful loss if we blow this. as a underdog team you have to put away big leads and games you arent supposed to win. letting a 5-0 lead slip with the chance to sweep a 4 game series with Trevor rogers on the mound tomorrow afternoon would be hard to stomach. 3 of 4 would obviously be great if we can get there but clearly a missed opportunity if we let this slip. lets get some fucking runs.Comment
