          • Probably few changes as closer to OD but this is the lineup they have for minor league game today

            Nunez SS
            Orr RF
            Mesa Jr CF
            Ready 3B
            Johnston LF
            Hampton DH
            Rosario 2B
            Infante 1B
            Barstad C

Roberson and Remey Reed have pitched

Looks like Clinton bats(Lo A lineup) and Jupiter arms

Mesa JR up,Dalvy at 2B!!! Ready should be in Jupiter but maybe they start him there and go with Rivera/Bubba Hollins in Jupiter?

This all comes back to, are they going to develop at least 1 stud from what they have, spend to add 2 studs, and do a prospect trade to add a 4th stud. If they do that, they should have solid MLB players everywhere on the team and it might get exciting fast.

                We shall see.

                • not sure what my levels of overvaluing them are considering I’ve been right for going on two years about the direction they are heading.

You also continue to overvalue how necessary it’s gonna need to be for them to add these majoor free agent pieces. They will add minor stop gaps and fill the occasional hole via free agency but they won’t be adding a major free agent ever so you can get off that already. Maybe they will trade a surplus at a position like outfielder for a cost controlled piece via trade but they aren’t going to be spending huge money in free agency because it makes no sense given the way this market would be able to have a sustainable contender. If they build it the right way and continue to focus on the draft every year and IFA there also won’t be a need to do that

The most they would do is a Charlie Morton type 2 year signing to fill a temporary hole, but they won’t be signing any long term free agents to big money because it makes zero sense given How this team would need to be built long term to contend year in and year out. They will continue to smartly add talent each year through actually taking the draft seriously and valuing the type of ROI that IFA Can bring to an organization.

You can continue to call me out on being overly positive but fact of the matter is I’ve been right for two years now on the direction this is heading and how they are trying to build this team to be a sustainable contender. I’m not overvaluing shit, I can just see where this is heading, which is to years of contention with a cost controlled young core on both sides of the ball with a few value free agent additions as stop gaps/bullpen arms

If Harrison is a consideration for Opening Day (I’m still not sure he is), Marlins would be best served to ship off one of their OF. Garrett Cooper, Harold Ramirez etc. Not much value or point to sit in minors. Perhaps Rangers would be a good fit.

OMG Mish is an idiot!! Why does he hate Cooper and the obsession!!!

All joking aside they like Harold more than Cooper so he would probably be the 1. If Monte does make OD we could see Sierra traded somewhere as well to open a spot for another RP

They need 2 40 man spots for RP right now(Box and ?-Venditte,Eveld,Northcroft are top choices)

You've been right about the direction this is heading? I don't recall a lot of arguments about the direction of the team and building through the minor league system. I think it's obvious to pretty much everyone that's what they're doing. I think pretty much everyone is in agreement that the direction of the team is the correct one, but that doesn't mean they've brought in the right players, we haven't even begun to find out whether this rebuild will work, and that's what they ultimately will be judged on.

                      • Boxberger is 1000% lock to make OD pen. Question is who do they 60 Day to open the spot-Stanek? Sharp? Brigham?

Idea would be 60 Day 1 of them add Box then he pitches and by June/July when that guy is ready u either trade Box or figure it out then

I've noticed Harold's playing time the last week or so has been a lot of mid-game subbing, while Cooper has been starting, I don't know if you can read into that completely, but to me, that tells me Cooper has the upper-hand on Harold.

You keep bringing up 60 day dl for sharp for no reason. There is no reason to dl the kid when he is major league ready and we have open bullpen spots. He will be on the major league roster.

Because u only need to keep him on for 90 days. I agree with u-he has earned a spot but its all about load management and we have shown in past we rather have the Rule 5 guys throw at end of year

They have but havent heard anything about them changing mind on Cooper. I dont think it matters who they would trade-if they get an offer for Harold they would take it. Maybe trying to show Coop off??

They did that for elieser and graves because they hadn’t pitched over a ball. Sharp has over 100 innings in aa
