I admit, I've only been to about 4 games over 2018 and 2019. Call me a bandwagoner or whatever, but I haven't had that draw to attend when I know the team isn't competitive - i.e. the game won't be entertaining if we're getting blown out.
Another factor is people to go with. I work close to the park and certainly could go to more weeknight games, but I don't like going by myself all the time (I'll do it some, but it's more fun with someone else there with you). Conversely on the weekend, unless friends want to go, I'm not necessarily inclined to drive down there for a game (considering I drive down that way 5 days a week). They're casual fans at best, so a competitive team would entice them more to go.
I also liked hearing Sherman mention that they want Palm Beach and Broward people to come - obviously that's a no duh thing they need to do, but it's seemed to be all Miami focused. I like the partnerships with Brightline to get people there, I just wish there were a better way to get from Brightline to the park.
